Your second point is a pretty obvious advantage.
The first point clearly would be the benefit of leveraging technology that is used in mission critical applications globally.

As I remember, Samsung was one of the companies that put in a bid for the Amiga when C= went bankrupt. It is unlikely that they are still interested... but who knows?

As i have Samsung 46 inch LED tv and like their product it wouldnt be bad to be owned by samsung. But who knows what would happen. OS4 in the TV. At least they have mobilephones coming that are faster then our HW :p
