@Tuxedo

Yes, I think so. Of course it need much work but IMHO Hollywood can handle something like that at reasonable speed

Strange, on my SAM the WavyLogo is almost rock stable at 25 fps!? I wonder, if something is different on your setup? I have sam-flex 667MHz with 1 GB RAm and Radeon 9250.

YES IT IS STRANGE, I THINK I DO A BIT MORE INVESTIGATION ON THAT !!!! These are my specs:
SAM 667 512RAM (not flex/no Graphicadapter).
I may open a thread later on, on this topic...

O.k. I got him... it was "LimpidClock" causing stutters about twice a second. Now it goes smooth (nearly as good as windows laptop), thanks for the hint...

@ChrisH
Well, in Hollywood 4.5 is already a flood fill demo. It loads a black/white graphic gives you a pallette and you can floodfill the different areas easiely.

@fuskoSCN

Where can I get the Hollywood-plugin ?

It's mentioned here http://codebench.co.uk/docs/credits.html
but can't find a download link anywhere...

Not in AmiUpdate or OS4Depot either.

@khayoz

It was announced on the Hollywood users list which, AFAIK, all registered users of Hollywood are subscribed to.

Ok! Thanks

Edit: I got a mail from Andreas on the 12th of February but it only mention Hollywood for windows
nothing about a Codebench plugin... What am I missing here ? I own Hollywood 4.5 by the way.

Hi there!

Actually, far from every Hollywood-owner is on the mailinglist :

From the Hollywood-mal page I just read :

quote start
To join it, you need to have a user account with Yahoo. When it was created in 2006, the mailing list was set to invite only which unfortunately was a one-way setting. Thus, you still need an invitation in order to join the list.
quote end

Would it be possible to post a link to the codebench-plugin somewhere ?

Best regards
Torgeir

@fuskoSCN

I've been on the "Yahoo airsoft_hollywood" list since Hollywood 2.5 !

If I had not read your post here I never knew about a Codebench plugin,
now I just have to find the Yahoo post with the anouncement...
Any clue on what date that was posted ?

Once upon a time I was pretty drunk last week and I managed to order Hollywood 4.5 and the designer. In retrospect that was a really bad idea. Not just the price, as it was some above my budget. But also having alcohol involved at your computer while your credit card is laying nearby never works well.

A few days later the mailman unexpectedly managed to drop a pack in my mailbox up here in the trolly norwegian woods. As the matter of fact I think my mailman is a troll, because I have never seen him, although he mostly gives me bills.

I inserted the disks in my Sam flex 733 and it was clearly stating in the installment that this software was for me only! With name and address. No hologram embedded code needed, like with other bulk software- I felt personally addressed to keep that promise of never copying, and I will! When someone takes the time to burn CDs specificly to a person they mean it!

After installing it nothing crashed. It was just like stated, a "Professional" software. And it is! I fooled around as much as I dared and everything was working perfectly. It was like it had a sandbox-environment allowing me to do all the silly stuff I always do, but without anything going wrong. I call that good programming.

But here the problems started; It was so easy to make something. The interface my girlfiend coud have understood, and she is not the brightest light on the christmas tree to put it that way.

Making presentations with text, sound and graphics worked like a charm. Including animation worked just as nice. I wanted to get into the coding itself and after a glance I deemed it easy.

The compilation went great and I can play the stuff on all desireble computers.

Here the problem became total:

I now sit up to quite late designing all sorts of stuff. It is so addictive! I hope I dont loose my job because I oversleep due to this software.

Hollywood is like flash, but more intriging, like Scala, but way better, or like powerpoint. But not. (Duh)

Andreas Falkenhahn, I love you in making this great software, but I hate you for taking all my spare time living in it.

Hi
I went back to the Amiga world last september when I purchased my SAM at PianetaAmiga in italy. For my birthdate last january I got Hollywood.
It is really powerfull and, even if I'm a beginner, I uploaded my first project to OS4Depot. MyFiat500 a simple screen blanker.
Currently I'm working to anothr crazy screenblanker. In the future I have in mind to work to something more important but I need to get more skilled.

ciao

Well,... besides DPaint and Pagestream, Hollywood is the best Software I ever used on Amiga. Even though I never been into Videoediting/3Rendering on Amiga.

Once again, I use it professionally, and it is heaps of fun using it. WATCH OUT: A NEW PROJECT WILL BE RELEASED SOON:

Playlistconverter.... converts different playlist formats into *.asx, *.m3u.... playlists, including the option to replace original path to mp3 file in playlist. All done in Hollywodd 4.5 (except Icons they are made by another person.... maybe I should put up an riddle on that.

@fuskoSCN

Well, just started to work on my exam presentation with Hollywood 4.7.

Anyone here who is good at making presentations with Hollywood?
And could answer and help when I get stuck with something

The alternative for this presentation would have been to do it with PP, so the aim is to do something which makes PP-users go "wow, how did you do that?", that should not be too hard, should it?
