@eder

You could start with 5 or 10 euros towards buying the hardware.

@TrevorDick

What about our own personal X1000 funds? You wouldn't want us diverting money away from buying your machine would you?

Will the software projects to which these machines will be donated be made public? The bounty might generate more interest if this were known.

I'll be making a donation anyway.

@TrevorDick

Ok, i donated also a little bit.

I find this a good idea. Some ages ago i had a same sort of idea
to buy second hand A1SE's to loan to developers. This is ofcourse
much better, newer and better hardware + AmigaOS 4.1.

If I wasn't trying to save hard for my own hardware whilst trying to buy a new house I'd donate something, lol... But when I do have my own hardware I'll donate software instead ;) lol

@colin419

Excellent.

Almost 50% of a Sam440/OS4 system already!

Why would you pay retail for a copy of OS4? You are a partner with Hyperion right? Don't you think you could get them to through an extra CD that's laying around in or even just an ISO image? This benefits them as much as anybody. More software == more OS4 sales.

@AmigaHeretic

I understand your reasoning but AmigaBounty (not me) would be buying a Sam systen from ACube complete with OS4 installed. Although I am a Director of A-EON that does not give me or A-EON any special right or access to OS4 over and above any other Amiga user. We, I, the Amiga community benefit if software is continued to be developed for OS4. Just MHO.

TrevorD

Edit: typo

Update: Bounty total now over half way to our first loaner Sam system!!!!

@TrevorDick

A little donation also from me.
And if I win the A1X1000 of the AWompetition, I will consider to loan my A1XEG4 to a developer as soon as I will be able to use the A1X1000 for my everydays needs.

Ciao
Gabriele
