No, it's not a SAM trouble. It's my x86_64 machine which fails to crosscompile sam440 build for some reason...

Strange enough, my x86 and ARM compilers are still fine.

Will this fix the broken USB issue? I saw a recent AROS CD boot on a Sam. WB came up but the USB dies. The KB and mouse were frozen. Is this known and fixed?

@Hypex

the last LiveCD work fine here and no usb and mouse problem. I have just a basic logitech mouse USB and and old PS2 keuboard on an adapter. Do you have sophisticated USB hardware and maybe its the problem.

on AROS, just no icons when inserting USB medias (recognized by poseidon) and ofetn finally AROS feeze (but maybe normal from a liveCD).

The system had a Logitech mouse and A1 X1000 keyboard. Plugged in the back.

In fact, just checked and only the logitech mouse work fine.

the USB->PS2 adapter and the PS2 keyboard attached not work.

the funny thing is poseidon detect fine the USB-> PS2 adapter and the keyboard but the keyboard NOT work and not detect the mouse but the mouse work fine.

on poseidon, a message with a workaround for keyboard and mouse enabled ??

@Mrodfr

Well these devices were connected direct. And it was unnown if there was any USB messages. Since all we got up to was an AROS Wanderer and a frozen mouse eventually.

@Mrodfr

Damn it, Just noticed there is a very, very, recent build available, Auf 22nd. WOW

The one Hypex and I tried to get working was a few months older then this, unless IVe misread something somewhere? Just got home from doing sport, so not seeing too clearly.

Cheers

Will test and see.

Just to save you some time, the iso from 22. does stop right after loading the modules via Parthenope. Tomorrows build should work better.

tested AROS for SAM 24/08/2010:

during boot, requesters said:

- not enough caches for SFS on some AOS4 partitions. Danger to lost datas, bla, bla ... but finally work fine.

- mouse and keyboard work fine (previously just the mouse).

- no icons for a USB stick inserted.

Yes I know about this one (running out of cache buffers), but not yet its cause. To be sure, don't try to access any OS4 partitions from AROS side. Though, they are probably not even accessible.

Good.

So this stayed the same, what about the graphics? Still only correct after setting and using screen preferences?

Yes, I haven't risked to do that, just one of my 5 AOS4 partition was available on AROS.

yes, the same for USB.

yes also for the graphics. Need to use pres/screenmode and choose one for good AROS window colors.

I won't use more this LiveCD, mainly because of the SFS warnings...

@mausle

Have tested the last build (this day).

a requester said:

caches: partition has xxxx block but theorically xx block.

like the caches partition is damaged. I have interrupted the boot and reboot fine with AOS4.

Also another problem.

using partherope, installed on the HD for booting. Choose with the keyboard to boot on the CD and all work well (the keyboard work).

the CDRW boot and I could choose 2 different aros but the keyboard not work on the second partherope ?????????

In fact, who has made the Acube partherope and the AROS partherope ????
Is it the same ???

bye.
