Good work will be after we will found what cause a random freezes and fix it :) Because its the real pain in the ass, to have freezed browser, which good enough already, with tons of features, which you will not able to use normally :)

But for sure we will found the roots and deal with it, just how long and how fast.

@kas1e

Excellent, do you have some new idea about this freeze ?
I mean what things you think to disable first in order to start the testcase ?

@samo79

I already remove pthreads support from all the 3d party libs (just to be sure that its not because of that), but still freeze the same.

So , the next thinks which we will do nextly:

1. Disable almost whole gui, and leaving only 2 quick links (google.com / repubblica.it) - for the test purposes.

2. if still freeze, then disable the whole gui at all , remove timer stuff, and everything else which was done for port, and hardcore code "google.com / repubblica.it" in the code, which will be autovisit sites every 1 minute.

3. If still freeze here (what will mean that at this point it will be pure WebKit), then will start cut-off of WebKit parts while will not found reasson.

i allowed myself to quote your mui bug report on aros exec, maybe it helps to improve zune, if it has the same flaws.

@wawa

i wouldn't go as far as to label 3.8 behaviour as bugs, though. That's just MUI4 having new or extended functionality.

@all
Just to fire up your interest: we found place because of which random freezes-crashes happens. For now i use muiowb for 7-8 hours i think non-stop, without closing, without single freeze/crash, and visiting all the heavy sites, use 7-10 tabs at one time, write messages there and there, pms, posts and so on.

For now can't say normally what exactly the problem, but at last we found which functions we can comment (pretty small ones), to avoid random crashes/freezes. Now we with Deniil do some final testings (to confirm that its indeed _that_ place of code cause of problem), and then will check what part of code in that place exactly guilty, and will try to understand why (if it will bug in os then we will report , if it will differences beetwen mos/os4, then some expirience).

But all what i can say for now, its not MUI related, but related to some #### with locales and maybe buffers/conversion/locale.library at all.

For next 2-3 days i think we will know for sure the roots of problem , and will post info there.

@TheKorn

Still some time need it :) Need now to understand why in crashs in that fucntion , then fix, then fix curl , then fix 2 more small-bugs which i found for today heavy-tests, then add mouse pointers, then depend of it there will be update3 already or not : enable npapi or release it without.

If after we will fix all the stuff, and even add npapi with some simply plugin update3 will not come, i think we can do some hacks to make muiowb works even on current public-mui, but just it will have some problems (like disabled some features, on which it crashes because of bugs in the current public mui, but which alerady fixed in upcoming one).

In other words, no one can stop the release :) No those legaly problems, no long waiting for update3, etc. Just will be better if it will come with update3 (less problems for everyone).

@Deniil715

Well, for some reason it didn't work. Can't remember what we did to fix it though. The last thing though was that setting MUIA_ShortHelp,1, or MUIA_ContextMenu,1, for a ListObject cause crashes. They must be set for the ListviewObject only. I found that out the hard way last night.

Since MUI-OWB only use List everywhere, no Listview, we had to make a wrapper to add the Listview, but we still sent all tags to the List. Now there is code that moves some tags from the List to the Listview.

Ahhhhhh marrano! :)
If you want see context menus work on all MUI (included Zune) you have to pass to MUIA_ContextMenu the object menu itself, NOT true/false (as documentation says...). This object has to be created at OM_NEW method of your List/Group/whathever subclass even with default values for labels, then you will right set it into MUIM context menu method (I don't remember the right name) which is called when you open fist way context menu (you have to insert a flag to check if it was just right setted), then check what user has selected from another method.
Of course, you have to do all these things into a subclass... :)

You can see context menus work on NoWInED when you add/remove tabs, then you right click on right tab arrow and you can choose what of 200+ tab you want to select in foreground without to have a list (similar on firefox)
