Not to the levels displayed here. Imagine if everyone conducted themselves as they do on forums IRL, not what you see day to day is it.

You obviously don't live where I live, the forums are timid in comparison...

I wouldn't say that but they sure are funny to watch when they're waving papers in air and shouting yeh, nae or making one big collective mumble cos they aint actually allowed to boo...

It's a step. Long overdue.

Right? Not right? I don't know.

Only some time can determine its value toward solving some of
the continuing difficulties, and it will again be up to you to
modify or change things as needed for a more harmonious experience
for the visitors.

There is a future. Adjust to it, or simply become history.

Good job.

Any chance you can increase the ridiculously small (by 2011 standards) image size/resolution for the gallery.

At the moment it's a huge hassle having to resize, resave, try upload, shrink it a bit more, fails again etc. I'm pretty sure that's why nobody posts there much these days.

I will have a look into it. It was set to the limits to reduce load and traffic on the server and to avoid losing a lot of file space to images.

@mods

Any chance you can lock this thread now? Seems to be attracting the very trolls we/you are trying to eradicate. --They know who they are--

@Franko

Has any new mods been shortlisted yet? I kind of didn't keep up with the mods thread after it became a bit of a clutser... well you get the drift lol.

Also I like the way that the board reworked. Giving everything it's own little section of the site. I am half and half about the whole Amiga Inc thing not been on the front page.

Dunno, you'll need to ask a mod that...

Or wait for one of the new ones and ask them...

Lol I must have forgot to remove the @franko bit out of that post as it wasn't intended to be aimed at any one person. Just a general throw it out and see what comes back kind of post.

In fact you also need an icon for MorphOS forums...

Ah, yes.
Forgot the current one was a combination.

So, anyone who can do an icon for MorphOS forums?

This is the one they use at MorphZone. I don't know if they'll mind you borrowing it:

There will be a poll for new moderators, it is in the works, and hope to launch it soon.

There is no such thing as a "troll" (or at least no-one can agree on what the word means, so the term is almost entirely useless). IMHO better to use something which indicates the actual problem with the individual, e.g. socially maladjusted, attention seeker, obsessive hater, stalker, clinically mad/crazy (very rare), etc.

It's amazing the amount of qualified (in their own minds) of armchair psychologists, psychiatrists human behaviour experts etc... there is on Amiga sites...

I agree that those silly wee made up internet words like "Trolling", "Spamming" & "Flaming" are not only just useless but pretty dumb and childlike too but I don't think unqualified opinions on a persons mental health is any better either...

After all, do you know that individual you are talking about or communicating with personally, have you ever met that person, be pretty pointless making an unqualified mental health diagnosis based on some posts made on a forum, it could all be just a wind up for all anyone would know...

Now you'll have to excuse me while I go off and diagnose why my dog is singing Vera Lynn songs and tap dancing on top of the telly (I've just decided to become an unqualified animal behaviour expert all of a sudden)...

Here Rover, Nice Rover, come to daddy... there's a good boy... now get off the freaking telly...
