@djrikki

Well, sure, that would be possible to avoid including fastlinks in cycle chain, though some might want it (but in the current case, they don't even cycle in the visible order, though).

@kas1e & Fab

with that version the sound events sent from web sites can be heard or it was mute like the 1.9 ?
For example I play sometimes on:

boardgamearena.com

and while playing sound events like for your turn or players choices was really usefull to be heard...
also seems taht 1.17 was slightly faster than 1.9 than here was a bit slow to play well...

@all
While i worring with 1.16 , i build in meanwhile owb1.9 with threaded curl (sources of which fab kindly give us, and we with deniil make some os specific changes). That threaded curl not-based on pthreads, and its already mostly works, through, from time to time it give DSI in bsdsocket.ibrary coming from curl_ipv4_resolve_r() , which can be and our fault when we make os4 specific changes, and fault of our bsdsocket.library (that to be invistigated).

As far as i can see, crash are skippable (but can't test right now if everything continue to works after), and happens only when you have about 3-4 blocked connections at one time.

For the daily use, when you just have one or two blocked connections, its even now can be usable, as no more gui-blocking happens.

So, there is just a binary, put it in your working owb directory.

NOTE: its just for tests. There can be new bugs and problems in terms of network, so its mostly for those ones who in interest to play with , but not for users who do not know where to put that binary, how to save previous one and so on.

Once it will be checked/rechecked/fixed on all problems in terms of curl, i can then easyly re-use it for latest version without worry that it can give any new problems.

@tommysammy

I assume you put your binary to your old owb directory and not just unpack it and run from ram ?

Tested right now on mui from update4, on pegasos2 : works.

@all
If you have no time for tests , skip it

@Deschain

As i see for tommysammy it crashes once he run it , not when he type urls.

Anyway, have you crashlog ? if so, upload it.

@kas1e

Will donate. Even though I have been trying to use Timber Wolf I find myself falling back to OWB all the time for stability if nothing else.

Thanks for your hard work and looking forward to being able to play YouTube vids!

Donated!

No problem. I know how it feels to spend hours looking for obscure bugs. When you're working on something that is pretty much one of the main programs I run on my X1000 I figure you deserve it.

Whereabouts in Russia are you from kas1e? I find it interesting to note just how far apart we all live but the Amiga brings us all together - which is cool.

@mr2

Did it happens right after first typed url, or did it happens after you have few blocked connections ? Anyway crash looks the same as for Deschain, which is kind of good to know.

Still dunno how tommysammy crashes, but i assume the same (or its just something x1000 specific).

City called "Novgorod The Great", placed right between Moskow (600km) and St.Peterburg (180km), there is wiki link. Kind of ok city , because of place: beetwen two capitols, and all the business come from peterburg and moskow here, so while city is not very big one, there is still fine. Some middle line beetwen village and big cityes. And so close to St.Peterburg also cool, because let's say if i want to come to finland/sweeden/norsk i just get a visa for few hours, and for few hours on car already in finland, which mean that from finland you can go to any other country even by finland visa as its shengen and so on.

Did it happens right after first typed url, or did it happens after you have few blocked connections ?

Right after first url or clicked fastlink...

@samo79

Ok, seems there is 2 the same crashes for everyone. One i can reproduce for myself, another one need to reproduce.

I will write mail to Olaf (author of bsdlibrary on os4), so maybe he can help us out a bit with it.
