@blizz1220

if you indicate I am the the "bad guy" telling it to Gutjahr then I must disappoint you. I asked Cloanto after Gutjahr posted it...

@OlafS25

So there will be a deal but now there isn't one ?

So there was going to be a deal but now there
won't be one because Cloanto said "no" / because
Roberto said "no" ?

No , I never implied that you were a bad guy

@blizz1220

ah thanx for not being "bad guy"

they have corresponded but no final deal/written contract. That is all what I know. If they still are in negotiations or not or just stopped and will continue or whatever is not known to me (and not interesting).

Regarding Roberto I only said he should stay nearer to the reality and not overdo marketing.

Tnx for the info

I don't think you can be held responsible for whatever
actions taken by any other individual including but not limited
to Roberto ...

Not by a reasonable person at least

Whatever and yes we have sold a few copies of this "ridiculous" bundle so I guess some people find it useful.

Could you please clarify the agreement with Cloanto or what the state of negotiations is.

@OlafS25

Maybe MCB would be better person to clarify things ,
Roberto already said enough ?

EDIT: Not that either of them has to clarify anything
to anyone if they don't feel like it right now ...

@blizz1220

I do think that Cloanto has to correct it because they were not involved in the announcement. From my view Roberto should clarify it. All is ok when he buys licenses, it is only sometimes doing too much marketing (less can be more sometimes).

Of course Roberto must not... but anyway he should avoid trying to create "hype" and stay at the truth and say it clearly without any potential misunderstandings.

@RobertJDohnert

If you want to be taken seriously at all, you need to offer at least some answers to the questions posed in this thread. Up until now, most of what you have written sounds like marketing-speak reminiscent of CUSA.

And like CUSA, if you piss off Amiga people, you won't have any market at all to sell to really. Not that I think you had much of a market to begin with.

Yes , that is true ...

That is why CUSA went out of Amiga community market and they
got a lot of interest out there ... They had no products to sell when
the interest came but that is a different problem ...

And some people will just get pissed for no good reason
whatsoever so how can one avoid it really ?

@RobertJDohnert

just to clear all of this up, did you or did you not have a completed licensing (or bundling) agreement with cloanto at the time you posted, "we are pleased to announce that we have come to terms with cloanto on the redistribution and licensing of their popular product amiga forever?"

@blizz1220

The way to avoid it is to be honest and forthcoming, for starters. Don't speak in marketing-speak, and have a product available that potential customers may actually want.

Some people may get angry regardless, but it does no good to basically lie to an entire community, or hide facts, right from the start. In basic terms, I guess the best way to approach things is to be professional.

CUSA was pretty much a textbook example of how NOT to do things.
