The definition of "beta" is, that the software isn't quite ready, it likely has bugs and missing features.

So I definitely wouldn't call it (the beta version) MUI4.0.

However, as has been stated, there's lots of MUI4.0 (and beyond?) functionality added, based on functionality (not sources) in newer release (non-beta) versions, so I guess it can be called MUI4, at least in the sense of "what functionality it offers".

Hey guys!

I'm not getting the update for MUI4 so I'm stuck at 3.9 I've run AmiUpdate a couple of times but there's not update available... Am I missing something? I have update.amigaos.net and www.amiupdate.net as my servers checked, which is how it is by default.

it should be pulled from the amiupdate servers, but while you're figuring out why it's not, you can download MUI4 for AOS from the muidev.de server.

Enable the loging function in amiupdate and run an update check and then check the log, it might tell you why the mui update is rejected.

I'm not too sure what to make of it but it seems like it can't find some needed files? It's weird because I did have 3 updates yesterday which installed just fine.

Look at the beginning of the log, it seems that you can't connect to update.amigaos.net so you're only recieving 3'rd party updates.

Your login information seems to be incorrect.

Are you sure you have the update.amigaos.net server present?

I'm not sure how to get Amiupdate to ask you for the login information again, maybe you can use snoopy to find out where the login information is stored and edit/rename/delete that file?

AFAIK it was always like this. It always asked me for a user name and password and that worked fine until yesterday... What am I supposed to insert as user name and password? I don't recall getting any from Hyperion.

Registering and then logging in in AmiUpdate seemed to to the trick. Weird that it worked fine before... Anyway, it's solved now, thanks for looking with me, guys! :)
