@TheDaddy

You had put some nice pictures on the kickstarter page showing the red printed A-keys and the full colour boingball key...! Is it possible to have also these in the 3-key sets and in the full layout sets? There seemed to be only the black printed option mentioned.

About the bundles including the whole keyboard (with numeric keypad)... Have you been able to find anywhere the 'original' Ducky Zero DK2108_? Or, and if you want to stay in Ducky models as you said, will it be in any case one of these new 'Shine' models with leds and backround lightning?

As many of us do not want any 'led circus' in their keyboards, I would suggest to consider also the Cherry G80 mx 3.0, which is a simplified model and has a very competitive price (in my country as lowest just 79 euros). The only 'problem' might be the four 'extra' keys in the numeric keypad... (for controlling sound?) With black caps they can probably just left there as they are, but for a beige set, should there be 4 'empty' caps included for those who want the all caps to be of same colour...?

Regards,

Gregor

The Ducky Zero are slowly being taken off the market but there is still enough supply. The Ducky Zero Zone (shine) have an LED behind every key but they can be switched off or on according to your taste:

Regarding the Cherry G80 mx 3.0, that is a nice keyboard and it's a possibility, I need to investigate. The four extra keys come in any of the colours listed.

Hi,
not that I will rebuy a X500 keyboard, one is enough, but does it exist white/beige Cherry keyboards instead of black ?

Just by curiosity, thx

If you mean the shell of the keyboard then yes but they are rare and cost more.

@TheDaddy

Hi. I wonder.. what do I need to go for if I want a complete keyboard which is black with black Amiga keys and white writing on them? I don't understand the options? And what type of dynamic keyboard supports your keys?

I would love to support you if this actually aims at creating Amiga Keyboards!? Maybe you could talk with AmigaKit about this? They would sell a lot I think.

I want to pledge, but don't know what to choose really?

@AmiDelf2

Hi,

An all black keyboard (with black keys with white printing on them) is

Reward #29 -

A full size, high quality, mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches with one already applied, full size all black key caps set with Amiga "A" keys and Boing Ball. Choose your language layout.

There is also the tenkeyless version (TKL - without the numeric pad) and this is Reward #27.

The keyboards come with Cherry MX switches type: Brown, Black, Red or Blue.

Thank you.

Yes, I meant that. It will look more like Amiga.

I had a look at the pdf-manual. This switching is made by some keyboard combinations... Is this info 'stored' somewhere, so that you do not need to switch it off every time you reboot your machine?

Thanks. Personally, I can get a this Cherry easily from a local source, so no need for me... But I though there might be someone else who would like to have a clearly cheaper option than the Ducky.

From visual point, I think the Ducky looks nicer as the function key line is a somewhat more separated from the key line below it, than in the Cherry. On the other hand, the Cherry logo 'label' is an ideal place for a X1000/X5000 sticker .

>The four extra keys come in any of the colours listed.

Oh yes, sorry... I was blind! I am still so used to these classic Amiga keyboards that I did not realize that those 'extra' keys are now in all PC keyboards...

Still one question: if you pay e.g. two Rewards, how about the postal costs? Do you have to pay the cost for both items, or only for the most expensive one? Do you need to do something yourself in this case?

Regards,

Gregor

@Gregor

From memory...you shouldn't need to reset the keyboard every time.

I agree with you, the Ducky keyboards look nicer, simple, understated not much plastic around the keys.

I've sent you a PM...let me know how many you'd like and I'll create the Reward for you.

Thanks.

@TheDaddy

Only European/American layouts?

Any chance for a Chinese, Japanese or Korean "extended" 109+ key layout?

Japanese is a modified American layout with additional keys making the spacebar smaller.

I'll have to photograph and send photos to you by Email of the two Japanese keyboards I have here...

10 keys on the space row alone... 4 3 and 2 symbol keys to the right of the qwery layout, Caps-Lock is double-duty with a second locking function and an additional numeric row key preceding the 1 2 3 ...row and mandating 3 keys after the numbers before a backspace key.

I normally use a "compact" Japanese wireless keyboard which just makes the keyboard shell smaller for the most part (no TKL options unless you really want tiny).

Or would that be too demanding of the Cherry mechanical keyboards ?
