It you take a look at the description of the "AmigaONE G4/933 Chip+Mobo", it describes the "bios" as being "Open firmware-compatible". Looks like they need to do a bit more research.

Eyetech don't work with this company. Anyone who is thinking on purchasing from these guys should contact KDH, Vesalia, et al, to see if they are for real.

HERE

without a single line about "when and IF available"!

Not the first time paradox is pimping his own scam sites on forums. Probably not the last unless someone does something drastic about it such as pressing charges and follow it trough.

@Framiga

The difference is that Vesalia seems to have a good customer track record. I doubt that they have debited anyone's account for the BPPC version just yet.

Yeah right!

I wouldn't buy anything from them, deciding from what Alan said before and nobody knows who "Paradox" is.

Just my 0.02 EUR

Seems to me to be easy to sort out. I have friends that live nearby the address the website is registered to. I could easily ask them to pop round to do an interview with this new online retailer in the Amiga marketplace (for the benefit of said company - you can't beat free advertising)..

Oh, did I mention they work for the Trading Standards Institute?

Hi,

Usually when someone opens up an Amiga shop the person in charge is known by some people. Because everyone knows everyone. This kind of drops out of the air pretty suddenly. Nothing has turned up yet that shows they are a fraud. But who will order?

Coder
p.s. Anyone seen Ryan Czerwinski?

Well, Paradox is obviously still watching this thread, as he has now deleted AOS 4 from his site.

I'd like to note that the only people currently selling Pegasos systems in the UK is.. umm.. me.

http://www.pegasos.co.uk/

G3s are still in stock (£269.99 inc. VAT and shipping), ask about G4s at sales@pegasos.co.uk - not a scam, I have many happy customers :)

Check out Paradox's profile- it says she's a woman, RL name Sarah Hill.

Of course, that might not be his/her RL name either, as he/she might want to masquerade if he/she's running a SCAM!!!

It also says he/she's restricted for 10 days (at time of post.) Presumably the moderators restricted him/her because that's how Scammers should be treated!

@Mods

Any chance that we can ban this user after this has definitely been confirmed as a scam?

That's what I thought - tell BBRV to ignore the email I sent

If this is a scam or run by unscrupulous people, it simply casts a shadow on Amiga retailers trying to trade honestly.
