@AmigaBlitter

interesting.

I wonder how many additional copies of AmigaOS4.1 classic have been sold?
I also wonder what impact this development has had on the Cyrus AmigaOne program.

I bet none. WinUAE is too limited platform for OS4 to be any competition for AmigaOne.

My guess is very very few. Until the OS4.1 support of WinUAE PPC is official and there exists site advertising it, offering it to buy the OS on one click (digital download would be the best option there) with instruction how to setup, install, use etc, only hardcore fans will really try it. Transform page views into sells is not easy task in most cases.

@AmigaBlitter

I wouldn't take views number as a reliable parameter, as it isn't at all.
First, it depends mostly on the number of replies in the discussion, second a lot of the views counted will probabily be spider and robots.

I agree, Hyperion should have an option "OS4.1 for Classics Digital download only" offer for a reduces price.

Time to step up?

@marko

There has been so little Hyperion communication to potential Amiga customers, that I suspect they have gone belly up but don't want to admit it.

I think that was their style for at least ten years.
