Currently, it is. I hope this will change in the future though ...

Actually no, its also cyber and blizzard compatible ( at least in beta tester versions ). But I still read meaning into that careful phrasing on the website.

Hi Wiffy,

We're not sure what it means.

Personally, I smell legalese.

Bah!!! Garry PLEASE let us help you.......
You're making a VERY bad first impression right now.
How can you tell a partner to go look at this website. C'mon, I'd be embarrassed if it was my personal website let alone my corporate website.
Get someone to build your website that has a clue about what is required to please the community and present a professional image. The image we would all like to see you attain. Start utilising the community you've inherited.....We'd do it for free. And just because it is free doesn't mean it is bad.
Look....we can save this....just let us at it.

Ok. Going back to my happy place now.

Of course, I know that. And so is MorphOS BTW. But that doesn't help regular cyber or blizzard users at the moment, since they simply can't get it. So currently, the OS is pretty much A1 exclusive. But again, hopefully this will change in the future ...

Ok, new site, even worse look *sigh*
I was expecting a half decent site, not this disaster, but oh well, the site could still change/improve (that or maybe it'll have to grow onto me)

We'll know more after the irc session

Hi Amon_Re,

I think it looks good.

I like the left-right justified text. Nice graphics. Consise info. AND, it's working fine here in Mozilla Firefox 1.0 too.

@Thread

Taken from:-
https://www.amiga.com/news/index.php?art=2

"News: KMOS, Inc. Becomes Amiga, Inc."
.....
"AmigaAnywhereTMenables applications to run on a broad range of processors including ARM, StrongARM, Intel X-Scale, OMAP, MIPS, x86 and Hitachi SH series"
PPC soon I hope???
"....run hosted on a WIDE VARIETY of operating systems including Linux, Windows CE .NET, Windows 2000 and Windows XP."
Ha!.. I don't see wide variety in this, ONLY TWO. Linux & winblows. :(

Maybe the IRC Q&A will clear some of this up.

Cheers,
Tim

They need to bring back the rotating Boing Ball for the header.

@Varthall

First I like to say that liked the site, some small changes and site becomes better to look at,

First ”Amiga Anywhere” as default page, is bad idea, change that to the “THE COMPANY” page, I think the visitor get better impression of what Amiga is provide for the customer that visits the site,

Over to the shop I think the content of the ship is need to be updated, and think there moving some professional AmigaOS software biz product in to the shop help market AmigaOS,

And there some errors in the “AmigaOS” section “Early 2005”?
It is “when it done” and it’s not done yet, it needs beta testing until it can hit the market!

And the last line of the page, I think Hyperion have done excellent job and they are the once to continue whit 4.1 - 4.2 as planed,

As for AmigaInc I don’t think they need to take AmigaOS in doors, there are lots of missing parts that needs to be addressed like ActiveSync type applications, as long as AmigaInc targets the mobile and PDA market they will need to port AmigaDe player to AmigaOS to make AmigaOS the host platform for the DE-Player and products, many more things that needs to be addressed like Java, etc, all of this products can be developed as stand alone products that can be licensed for full version of the AmigaOS in the end product, in the next updated of AmigaOS they need to address the issue of drivers, and I think getting more of the individuals that makes drivers for OpenPCI need to be confronted whit work contract for parts of AmigaOS4.x.

@all
I don't uderstand all this negative posts about the layout...... imho it is ok, readable, simple. I also miss the rotating boingball btw.

The contents is more important, and there are too little informations about OS4... no screenshots....

Hi NutsAboutAmiga,

I think Garry Hare knows more than WE do. ???

Here's an error?

From Amiga Inc. website:

The AmigaOS claims lineage back to the Commodore and Gateway computers.

Gateway??? They may have not even made a prototype Amiga!!!

ONLY Hyperion Entertainment is qualified to continue work on AOS4+.x!!!!

Hasn't anyone considered that maybe Hyperion Entertainment has been bought???

@ikir

That's probably because Amiga Inc. do not even have OS 4.
Some people still seem to believe they have anything to do with it - in fact they don't, they do not even own any right on any part of OS 4 apart from the name.

@takemehomegrandma

Actually BlizzardPPC isn't mentioned on www.amiga.com

-------------------------
Taken from webpage;

AmigaOne Partners have the right to distribute AmigaOS 4.0 into the AmigaOne desktop computer market and into Cyberstorm PPC enabled devices.

Maybe it's just me but...

when I log in to the developer section it still lets me in but the page has basically no content.
Anyone else experience this?

But obviously it would be far more interesting for an Amigan to have Alan Redhouse or the leader of Hyperion (who is that BTW) at the keyboard for that session.

But what could either of them say? Amiga Inc have already announced that "the development of future versions of the Amiga Operating System is not available for third party development or distribution".

Not only have Amiga Inc sidelined AmigaOS (once again), but it seems they don't want anyone else to develop it either.

I wonder if Hyperion could rename their OS HyperionOS, and be on safe legal grounds. I suspect not, but I can't do much else than speculate.

For an emotional tirade to be effective you have to be able to understand it. (HINT: work on your english a little)

All this talk about how bad the web-site looks is being too critical. They have more to do than make the web-site pretty -- like releasing OS 4 within the next few months. KMOS has been reluctant to make frivolous claims. As a user of OS4 I believe it's possible.
