Who'll decide which 5 is the best. Why not let a poll have 10-15 designs from the beginning and then a new poll with the 5 best? _________________ On Planet Boing Trevor is God |

I could bring some skillful designers, but only if Amiga, INC. would say that they are going to use one selected by community. And I think they won't, so I won't brother'em.

I totally agree. Amiga.com needs to look more professional, of course I'm not saying the current site is terrible, but the previous design (with the rotating boing ball) was more visually pleasing. Amiga Inc should tap into the awesome talents of the Amiga community.

Yeah, sure, feel free to enjoy something totally unrelated to the Amiga, bearing its name. Something totally alien with a totally different philosophy. I'm sure that you'll love it but sorry, Amiga users will NOT. _________________

My attitude will get us as far as yours, but with less effort.
Sorry to pee on your fantasy, but you've just made all this up, there's no endorsement, and no prize. There's a real need for a dose of reality around here sometimes. |

Thats called doing something 'on spec' isn't it? Why be so negative? Anyone can see that it is just an idea, but at least it is a constructive idea!
[tongue-in-cheek-mode] The reality is a big old bunch of girl's blouses moaning about a website. (How many Amiga users does it take to design a website/change a lightbulb?) [/tongue-in-cheek-mode]
What Honda_DK is saying, IMO, is put your money where your mouth is, you think you can design something better, well, lets see it! Put up or shut up! I can respect that...

first of all, let's wait what is coming out on Sunday. Second, for myself I admire the iniziative to partecipate directly on the development. For the moment also without revenue. That's my point and I believe it's better than getting a mainboard and waiting for a t-shirt and complain (example).

| Thx guys for all the commendation. I think that having a nice looking homepage is a vital part if we want the amiga community to grow further. There is a reason why big companies spend millions of dollars on commercial and marketing. It's the whole that counts. Last edited by Ayalo on 18-Mar-2005 at 11:34 PM.

I'll give it a shot at designing a functional website as well.

Must admit I prefered the mockup to the current site. However, what worries me is the shop on the current site sells only software for the microsoft pocket pc! What's going on, why are we in bed with the "enemy"?
