Oh YEAH !!

Bring that please.. Must be something we can demo ....

Actually there may WELL BE...

We are currently trying to twist Smithys arm to Demo Paihia at Big Bash 3. He has provisionally agreed if he can get it in a reasonably demo-able stature.
He says that its gonna be close !!

Here's hoping, As you know, We have a 2mb ADSL link to the hall (my house connection) so it would be so kewl to see it demoing LIVE online !!

Smithy .... Would you shed any light on this ... Pretty please with sugar on top (and hundreds and thousands too).

I will respect your wishes however if you feel it just wont be developed enough to put on public display.

Birds/Wives/Girlfriends don't mind coming, esp. if the result is a romantic evening in a hotel (so use that as persuasion).

Anyone with a machine with network/wireless card can hook up but keep bandwidth reasonably clear for demos/streams etc.

Just see me for the key/cables (if you aint got ya own)!

Any other network questions please let me know. I am taking a 16-port switch and an 11g access point as well as the building-to-building bridge to The_Editor's house.

The A600 maybe making an appearance, but it is quite a delicate thing, so maybe by September I will have an A1/SuperA1200 and bring that instead.

Oooooohhhhh and I have restored a Commodore PET to full working order, if anyone is interested that could come too. It only runs BASIC but we could run a Prime numbers generator on it and race it against a classic Amiga and an A1 running BASIC and see what number each machine has got to at the end of the event to see just how far we have come.... I bet the PET overheats and dies before the show ends..... Just an idea

Is there any possiblity of being able to get A1-XE IDE/USB fixes done at BB3?

I have asked several times for information on how to do this, but none has been forthcoming, I have no idea why it has been so difficult to get this info, I have asked officially but I have hit a wall of silence

@The_Editor

If we can get the wireless stuff to work reliably, I could set up a webcam link from the event ! (not live streaming, as that would be a bandwidth hog, but a still image update every min or so)

Edit: Full video will of course be available shortly afterwards

This is crazy! The one company who's customers should be able to get fixes/repairs/servicing done is Eyetech's. Just about everybody else in the world seems to have service available, why not UK customers?

We have tried the letter via DaveP and got absolutely no response. I think personal representations is the only route now.

@Frags

I used to see it from the bus (No.21) from Town, when I used to work in Carlton.
I was still living at home in Long Eaton !

I should be able to make it, hope Nic can bring his MOS box as I'd love to play on that!

As for what to bring, my previous offers still stand - 2x XBoxes for quick & easy Lan gaming, AROS box running TCP/IP and a bunch of other new stuff (promise I'll bring a cable this time, lol), and maybe one of the classics with a projector or something (A500+,1200 or 3000). Whatever will fit in best with the rest of the event (I don't want to bring it all, and I won't bring any extra monitors this time unless someone specifically asks).

I will be coming along with my Amiga 500 and 1200. I am a bit stuck for transportation, i could get my dad to give be a ride there but it might be a bit too much to ask as i am in Cornwall.
If only i was old enough to drive!
I could take the train but i wough have alot of stuff to carry.

If the worst comes to it ill take the train and if someone could bring a spare monitor i would be realy greatful.

Unless there is someone going from the west country who i could get a lift with?
(wich i dought there is)

OH WELL

I will make sure i am there.

Sam.

Well, as I said, if i've bothered to learn to drive by then or get a lift there I'll definately bring it, along with my laptop too. It goes everywhere with me, even on the bog sometimes!

@Thread

Well no one has replied to the question I set earlier so I will repeat myself just this once.

Do people want a Raffle for a MoBo this time ?

Is it a good idea anyway ?

Thoughts please.

We need to get things moving.
