@mtreasure

Understood and agreed. Maybe we should consider using just this current thread
for future input on this issue. It might be easier for DaveAE if he doesn't have
to repeat himself in multiple threads.

Best Wishes,

@number6

I consider this temporarily solved, I'd like to put my Radeon back, and eventually get me a better gfx-card in the future

Untill the reason for the trouble with the combination : Radeon gfx and Terratec Aureon 5.1 Fun is found.

@thread

Please kill the other thread indeed, this gets confusing.

My test with a Radeon 7500 and an Aureon Fun show no problems at all. Why 2 other people do have problems, I do not know. I have the 3 March 2005 firmware, I guess that's what you guys are using too?

You can imagine that solving (if possible) this issue will be very hard, since U-boot needs to be debugged for that, not being a regular task, involving several people. Considering the priorities of these people, and not being able to reproduce this myself, it may very well not get sorted out. What I'm a bit upset about is that this card should have been an alternative for the SB Live, but since you can't know for sure it will work before purchasing, this is hardly an option either.

@DaveAE

We're actually 3 people.

I've got the latest UBoot from March this year.

I know, have had my A1 for 2.5 years now, a lot of issues so far.
I really hope this is due to something like the RV100-chipset, and not UBoot itself.
But still, I'd like to know why, to avoid future problems.

Agree, I got this card to get rid of the problem with SBLive! and network stream, just to run into this

@tomazkid

So that's one vote from the developer to kill the thread in the other (A1forum).
One vote from tomazkid to kill the thread in this forum.
How some input from @Redfox who owns A1/AOS4 and can't access the A1forum to even
read about the issue?

Best Wishes,
#6

@number6

I vote for this thread to be locked, due to the recent noise in the public forums.
And the topic here is fixed from my point of view.

Regarding Redfox, why on earth isn't he given access to the A1-owners forum?
That should be fixed.
