@FuZion

Have you ever looked at the Amiga game Frontal Assault? It's written in AmosPro but I was hoping to port it as soon as Mattathias Basic was available.

@Samurai_Crow

Frontal Assault follows the Scorched Tanks school of "tanks" games - each player takes a turn. Death Tank on the other hand has all players playing at the same time, resulting in an absolutely manic game!

@Chris_Y

Except the problem of not being able to run AMOS on an AmigaOne

E-UAE???

I use AMOS Pro from time to time without problems. It's not particularly fast, but very usable here.

Yes, probably. We got some positive comments at BB4 anyway.

Well... Bean and Rudei saw it, others may have been hovering. You probably missed it trying to redeem your position after I thrashed you at Worms

I'm pretty sure it is the same as the last update, I was loading up the texture mapped version (Capehill's update).

The only other version I have (except the old ones) has some dodgy rotation movement that never really worked 100% (tank shows up at the bottom somewhere as well as where it should, maybe due to the order objects are drawn in, and the rotation isn't smooth, because it looks at adjacent landscape heights)

But, yes, we should do some more on this, adding additional weapon types should be fairly easy and visible.

I'd like Capehill to look at the rotating thing as he might be able to make it better (the only way to make it worse is to turn it off, and even that is arguably an improvement)

Perhaps this should go back to the mailing list...

Chris
