Actually, it's obvious to most they're old threads, but every now and then some are of more interest, use or fun that 'the current topics.' *shrug*

But, ok, # 106?

3. You considered the A500 040/25 board.

Hehe - I even once considered to buy an CSPPC for A2000 and fit it into the CPU slot of my Zorro bus expasion board for the A500 (Micronik) to have the worlds fastest A500.
Too sad they didn't make a production run of those and that just one or two prototypes exist...

Initially I thought it was meant to be some vacuum cleaner...

I still have my old 7-needle matrix printer down in the cellar...

No - its a CBM model...

What's a "Pentium before"?

24. You tried to repair the 1084 front panel.

No - I made my 1081 STEREO (by rebuilding the internal amplifier on a seperate hole-matrix board and fitting it into the 1081 together with a second speaker)

I have relatives living in Braunschweig - and yes, they live a stone's throw away from the former Commodore plant.
Have been there countless times during my childhood, but I'm not planning to visit the other locations...

Yes, of course! And it comes with 15 W sinus, my trusty old McIntosh valve amp...

106. you own a PS3 ("just in case" - with a keyboard and mouse ready) and suddenly realise 360 owners look and sound like ST owners - and have the same arguments that ST owners had in March 1989...

109. The transparent Uridium demo disk from Amiga Format is a treasured posession.
110. You bought Commodore branded CD-Rs..
111. You actually notice Amiga branded floppies as something special.

Edit: numbers

112. You start your computer turning on the power supply device - and you turn it off switching off again the power supply.

I waited two weeks for a Commodore 2080 monitor.

It seemed like a lot longer than that...

@firbodi

I hope I can clarify this once and for all in everyones mind:

AMIGA does NOT mean GIRLFRIEND in spanish............................it means FEMALE FRIEND

Just as AMIGO means male friend (NOT BOYFRIEND) Amiga = Friend (female)

(Yes I know sometimes here in USA women call their female friends "Girlfriends) and in that context it would mean "Mi Amigas) or my Amigas, But Amiga is literally translated FRIEND (Female)

So Amiga is the perfect name for a Computer like ours................just as you would give you car a female name and then call her "She" when refering to it, when speaking of the Amiga, one can say "She is My Amiga"

I'm Obviously an Amiga "snob" (as some friends used to call me) because dispite health issues I Still finished my IFX tutorial project.
I figured even if only one person got some use out of it , it was worth the effort.

and to this day i still have a positive outlook about the future.

I must be nuts....or stubborn

So far i havent seen one game on PS3 that looks better than whats on xbox 360...
in fact all of the console game comparisons i read say the PS3 version is inferior...and thats what matters....its like looking at a cars horsepower figures and 0-60mph figures...they dont mean crap when it goes out on the track...and the side by side console game comparisons are "out on the track".

hate to give points to microsoft, but its PS3 that sound like ST owners... If i remember the amiga was the superior one?
