From the Pianeta Amiga website September 12, 2007:
Quote:
12th September 2007 Punto Informatico, one of the most important italian information websites dedicated to new technologies has an article covering Pianeta Amiga and the launch of Sam440ep (the article is in italian).

http://punto-informatico.it/p.aspx?id=2063183

Perhaps someone could give a synopsis in English here.

Nothing new. In short: the 11th Pianeta Amiga is approaching and it
will see the birth and launch of many products and projects growing
inside the world of alternative information technology. This year's
event will be a milestone for the italian IT, because a computer
completely designed, developed and manufactured in Italy will be
launched. It will run most PPC OSes like Crux Linux and FreeBSD and
other alternative systems. It is a compact, versatile and scalable
motherboard with inoovative features based on an AMCC 440 PowerPC CPU.
Moreover, a serie of developers conferences and software presentations
will take place. This is an original event, where you can feel again
the taste of the "old" and original IT world, where progress was often
not lead by commercial and market logics.

Kind regards,
Andrea

The pianeta Amiga will be placed at the end of the summer so if Amiga inc not show the ACK entry level computer at the show then they will have failed the delivery date

does it say anywhere that the sam will be also shown at the AmiCon on the same day?

I had an adventure planned in southern Poland. Would have been nice to stop at the show in Hungary.

From the Pianeta Amiga website September 16, 2007:
Quote:
Iridium Srl will be present at Pianeta Amiga showing its big catalogue of products: the GP2X console with all the available accessory, Neuro OSD digital videorecorder based on Linux, mobiBlu Cube2 tiny mp3 reader (1 inch per side) with 2Gb and OLED display, mobiBlu BoxOn multimedia reader with OLED screen at 262000 colours, the complete range of SanDisk products including Sansa C240 an mp3 reader with LCD screen and many other things.

Crux PPC GNU/Linux: product presentation also added to the conference list.

Please refer to quick links in post #1 of this thread. Hopefully they are noted clearly.

I can't wait show reports (because they come a couple of days afterwards usually). I want many live reports made on place. (How can I make this week go fast.)

I hope we're thinking the same thing! I know what Andrea has been working on for some time and I hope he has got it into a state that he can show it off.
