Where in the world does such a things happen.
Only on the Amiga Platform.

Amiga has better return on investment than property anywhere in the world.
Hot machinery sells like pancakes at the supermarkets.

7 Bids & $948.34 Amiga - Buys the hot pants - AmigaOne G3XE fully working with 512 Ram
62 Bids & $2,375.00 Buys you a totally hot body kit - AmigaOne XE G4 933Mhz PPC + 512MB ram + OS4.0 Amiga One

First long link...
Second long link...

The profits have all ways been blessed with high value returns when dealing with Amiga, that why all of us Amiga owners love it so much.

If there was any company that had a better chance than Amiga Inc, let them step forward.
Now is the better time to build and manufacture and sell and Amiga One compatible PPC system's while demand exceeds supply.

Tell us of your successful investment with Amiga or in Amiga Technology.

(Mod note: Edited long links)

@meet.mrnrg

I was going to bid on that AmigaOneXE so I could have a second one, but it got too expensive for me to even start.

I also wanted a second Cyberstorm PPC, but it was also fetching a high price.

Thanks AmigaInc. for rejecting all the other hardware. Grrrr..

@meet.mrnrg
Of the 62 bids several were mine and I won in the end, my commisorations to those I beat. I have owned an identical machine since they were released but mine came with a stupid little problem which has built up, the battery holder was not correctly soldered and repeat repair jobs have finally killed my MB, I recently sent the board to specialist PCB repair chaps and the results have been very disappointing.

Now I can re-engage my passion, I was not going to let this one slip. If you think I am mad for this then be aware that I have previously paid for an A1 for a developer and given 2 A1s away (one to my brother and one to Doug who will not even acknowledged any emails).

I have other things of more importance happening in my life right now but my Amiga is my sanctuary and hobby.

Perhaps in a perverse way my bid may encourage the parties concerned to get on with it. I'll end this by saying my wife told me "don't lose this".

Congratulations!
Who is Doug?

I was trying to pull the battery out of my A1XE and tore the entire holder off the board.
Revanche LLC fixed it up, but it sounds like yours has extensive damage.
Have you decided whether to try and have it fixed again or to salvage the parts?

Please be careful, that is where my problems began. The board is multi-layered and the new solder should ensure contact throughout all layers, otherwise $2375 (+postage) is your option-:)

Without Amiga Inc, AmigaOne would be commodity and boards would go at very low rates?

When I got my free Pegasos 1 motherboard I sold my Amiga 1200 and made nice profit. I spent 200e on new HD, gfx board and so on while I got 300e from my Amiga 1200.

Doug knows who Doug is and Aussie Amigans know who Doug is. Apparently he is into graphics from what he has told me.

@acefnq

Congrats to you on your Amiga One purchase.
It was the best marketed and most well placed AmigaOne advert that I have seen.

I will continue to try to get my hand on a working version of the AmigaOne, but also plan on pushing the Amiga Team Worldwide to manufacture more compatible systems.

Thinking about it because of the current situation with the Amiga market, Amigas have lost very little value in all these years. Imagine buying a pc from 1992.

So yes it is a good investment but an expensive one too.

I wish you luck with that one, especially in even determining who this 'Amiga Team Worldwide' is, and why they would listen to you.

This statement really just reads like gibberish.

Very happy to see you have an A1 again, and hope the other can be fixed, but at the price..

Argh.

@wegster

Very good Wegster, now you should actually add more statements that will push the Amiga Cause. People actually read these statements so its half way to achieving the task.

You should perhaps be seeking guidance from God, and ask yourself why should anyone listen to God? Perhaps people believe in miracles more than they do in Gibberish.

Intent and good wishes does little to change reality, otherwise you'd be telling us about how well OS4 runs on your SAM right about now, no?

There's a huge difference for ME between helping people with issues or information, versus uttering gibberish that give people false hope because they don't know any better.

*shrug*

Ok, I'm prepared to eat my hat when it becomes false. Until then Amigaoes its the more than hope its the vision of the future.

@meet.mrnrg

Until WHAT becomes false, specifically?
- We can't run OS4 on SAM
- We can't run OS4 on Mac Mini
- We can't run OS4 on anything other than A1s or classics
- etc etc

Assuming AInc and Hyperion were both working towards a common goal, your above ramblings would have more merit. However, that doesn't seem likely given the court case and ownership disputes.

Also, please explain this in English?

Question: what happened to the common idea of AA on the A1s?

@wegster

Unfortunately your mind is made up, or your trying to cross examine something that is now
so far beyond your realm of possibility that I would prefer my way of thinking.

For your information I was born in the UK so this is in English. Good luck....
Have a cup of tea and relax.

- We can't run OS4 on SAM -- DELAYS
- We can't run OS4 on Mac Mini -- DELAYS
- We can't run OS4 on anything other than A1s or classics -- DELAYS
- etc etc -- DELAYS

@Number6
AA on AmigaOne's are also a vision for the future. In English we can say "There has been a tremendous amount of waiting."

@meet.mrnrg
Change 'delays' to 'unable to license anything due to non-cooperation and seemingly lack of common goals between AI and Hyperion,' aka court cases, and then I'd agree. However, that paints a different reality, one actually based in reality, versus the 'fluff'.

Also, I'm sorry, this remains not English/legible:

Quote:
Until then Amigaoes its the more than hope its the vision of the future.

Again, in order for any of this to change, there needs to be significant changes, perhaps in both AIncs as well as Hyperions points of view. Once again, there remains no evidence that AInc wants OS4 to go..anywhere, really.

Digging up statements about AA on A1s..is just a farce. If it were wanted, it would have been done by now.

@wegster

I would have to ask,
1) Are you being serious Wegster?
2) If you are serious, then, your mind is FIXED.

I find your interpretation of English to be one that is based on American English.
So I suggest a translator service. If you are really bothered with time, space and money.

But under English law, the Queen is blessed and sworn in under God to serve the public trust.
Thus the Queen in her wisdom will or should consult with God.

In the USA all the money is marked with "In God We Trust". Tell me a bit more about this?
Cause if you think that is gibberish then you don't believe in Prophecy and the Fate delegated by God.

Prophecy means even God has a plan for the Amiga Inc, Hyperion and AA and Amiga OS4 etc.

Leave the UK vs US stuff out of this, absolutely no need for it (I'm from the UK if that makes any difference).
