Well, if you want it testing on a G3 iMac (10.2) too, let me know.

Uhm... I compiled it on a Tiger machine, so maybe it isn't compatible.

http://web.aanet.com.au/~BlitterWolf/listings.html

I have already placed it into the listings of working software and games for os4.1 and sam users.

I will keep it up there another week, while updating the rest of the newly tested software, and by newly does not mean new software, just newly tested. haha

OK, cheers.

mmmmm, I know a few mac people.

Cheers.

Thank you for volunteering. However, as regards testing - and this is for all interested - it is done now (what needed testing was the installer, not the game, that's why it took so little) and both the MacOS X version and the update are likely to be released on monday. The only problem at the moment is... Windowa Vista , because of its obsession with anything that tries to modify an already installed program.

If you have AOS4 also on your A4000, then you could test BOH also on that machine, to see whether it is capable of running it reasonably well.

Hi all,

a fellow amigan (thanks, Yaroze!) experienced problems on his SAM after installing update1: more precisely, it seems that the optimizations for 3x and 4x zooming were not well digested and even caused the program to crash. The fix is included in the update2 archive that can be downloaded from the DOWNLOADS page of the website. Installing this update is strongly recommended to everybody.

On another note, has anybody tried BOH on expanded classic Amigas yet?

saimo

P.S.: for the very curious ones, yesterday Troll in the Corner published a short interview with me here.

Must to say, that you one from not so many amigans, who do their works good. You make good site (with good domen), you make good game (polished), you make tutorials, manuals, videos, screenshoots. You also do updates and so on. I will not point by finger on other ones who made sucking stuff, but let's they see how need to works :) Thanks.

@saimo

I think kas1e is not understanding the difference between someone with years of experience, versus someone with barely 3 months experience.

But yes, I was the first to compliment you on this genre, and I admit, I am still showing it off to any non amigan friend, mate, etc, that happens to stumble into my home. hahahaha.

Wonder if it would work on cd32? hehehehhe.

Cheers.

P.S. Proud to say, I did my first user startup fixing / repairing after testing old software, without my colleague needing to fix the problem for me. hehe.

mmm... I assumed he was speaking in general, not picking on anybody... oh, well, anyway, no offence intended on my part to anybody.

BTW: what are the reactions? Just curious. I guess you got lots of "What the hell is that?".

Nope, it wouldn't.

@Gebrochen

Post was not related to you itself of course, but, and also with some point of it. It's all in friendly way of course, becouse i not have any interest to make bad feels for someone :)

Many of ppls make somethink of very-very begining stage-level, and said : "i made so many, i am so proud of myself". And after 1-2 betas/alphas of software go to the chilout and so on. But from others side, some ppls works hard not for 3 days, but years, and in end, we have somethink good (like i pointed on saimo stuff).

For example (to be a bit offtopic), some general stuff for PR and for making somethink interesting to ppls always the same: good design, good software itself, good support, good feadbacks to/from users, good domen (not sucking free hosting, i always was curios about it, when somebody want to make somethink (like it was with some AROS's imica) on free hosting and do not want spend some (10-50 dollars) for domen/hosting (it's show to users how author think about it) ) and so on. IT's all not that hard, it's just show how author think about what he do.

In end, of course we all always in learning, and unposible to know everythink and can do everythink on very good level, but, we must (or not must, who care :) ) try always and not think that we do already enough. Becouse for someone, this 'already enough' , 'basic/funny already'. It's all about i want to point :)

And as i said before, that very good, that some users/coders still have this kind of opinion and do some good stuff which include everythink in it (not only some exe file).

Hi again,

I'm back to announce that, thanks to Ricky Johansson (AKA Yaroze), BOH has now also a Swedish translation! It's available at the DOWNLOADS page of the website.

I don't know who you are complaining about, but unless they are charging for something rubbish, I really don't see why you should complain. At this point the Amiga needs all the developers it can get, and if they start of by producing some free (but crap) software, well great - maybe they will produce better things later on, by learning from their experiences. People do not become great developers overnight!

And even great developers need a lot of time to produce great software (BOH apparently took a lot of time & effort, not to mention expense producing professional-looking web site, box, CD, etc, and that may never be paid-back in sales of BOH...).

Hi all,

the AmigaOS demo is now available on the DOWNLOADS page of the website.
At the same time, the demo mission has been released also for BOH owners (downloadable from the same page).

Enjoy,
saimo

Great! A demo will make my final decision a lot easier (than just looking at the video of someone else playing). Now I just need my Sam's HD working again, so I can try it out...

In the next days I'll release also the MacOS and Windows versions, so you could have a look at it anyway in case you can't manage to fix the problem soon.
