Great man!

The update states: "The network layer is now working correctly, so it's possible to use Timberwolf for web browsing now. There's still some rendering errors, but overall, a lot of code was implemented and bugs fixed. "

Go Friedens GO!

Its good to see progress. Widgets seem to be up and running; yet, it seems to have the "vertical line" graphics corruption that so many complained about before the "quick fixes." This is still in the early stages, and I am sure it will be eliminated before its final release.

Sweetness!! I suppose I should start the regular 68K 3.x pipe-dream question: Is there a snowballs chance in hell of this working on 3.9, w/ a 50mhz 060? (Keep the flames gentle, please. )

@kvasir

It would probably be unusable on a 68k. I tried OWB (PPC-version) on my A4K (under OS4) with CyberstormPPC, it was too slow to use and i ran out of RAM pretty quickly too :)

@fryguy

How does Netsurf compare with OWB in performance?

I would take this to be a bug in the widget drawing rather than the system wide corruption reported by others (repaired as you say by the quickfixes.)

Great to see progress.

Yes, please do.
Point being, Timberwolf is good, but needs a lot of power, Netsurf seems more lightweight, and if OWB is in the middle, then there is three alternatives for "modern browsers".

Then we can always hope for IBrowse version 3 as well, and we should have enough alternatives.

I forgot I even had IBrowse. Then today when I went to download some new libraries manually up popped IBrowse. Been a long time since I've used IBrowse for anything. I've been spoiled by automation of AmiUpdate.

Yeah, I kinda figured. I can dream, though! (Of either a modern browser on my 1200T, or enough $$$ to get ahold of a 4.x capable system)
