While I'm getting older, I think it's not that bad to live in a tiny, quiet country
Do you want to add a 6th card to your collection?

It is exactlty like life on an Amiga forum.
Lots of complaints and disputes between the same groups of people. Must be a small community syndrome. Many people want to be big fish in the small pond.

Drat, it looks the only solution is to choose a place with no people, at all _________________ Sam440ep-flex 800MHz 1GB RAM R9250 128MB SB Live!

The trick is not to interact too closely with certain elements of the population.

For my Sam-flex I use Radeon HD cards. My last Radeon 9250 went bad. If we had an updated Linux Kernel for the Flex that worked with Radeon HD 5xxx and 6xxx cards but needed a 9250 to set it up then I would want one. One of my Suppliers has Radeon 7000 cards so this would be an option just for the Linux setup. For now I don't really need 9250 or 7000 card.

Warp3D & Libre Office Update
Warp3D development was put on the back burner while Hans-Joerg, the Core AmigaOS 4 developer, concentrated on his main AmigaOS 4 commitments, but he is now devoting a little more time to completing the project. One major benefit of the Warp3D work is that, as posted on the official AmigaOS Blog, Gallium will benefit substantially from the experience gained with the hardware accelerated drivers for the Evergreen series 5xxx & 6xxx RadeonHD graphics cards. All I can say is bring it on! More good news on the LibreOffice front. The binary is now fully built and weighs in at a massive 400MB with an additional 120MB of shared objects! Thomas reports that's even bigger that the Firefox port. However, now the work really starts. This is a long term A-EON funded project so no promises on a potential completion date. Anyone who says "two more weeks" will be taken out and shot!

This is Warp3d... we dont know about Gallium/mesa from hyperion how is the situation , if the Drv are in beta testing or not. In all the case i wrote on FB in the AmigaOs group my view of this situation... I know Trevor come there like here and this is my personal point of view: We are a really small user community the big part of us are small developers or programmers or engineers, the others are Graphicans, musicans, and web developers very little part are simple users... What i dont understand is the way to make a close beta for the Warp3d , will be better make an open beta like Alfkil make for Qt... all user will be more heppy for this and with their tests help the developers for fix the bugs and the debugging... We are amigans we understand good the programming problems and the System problems usually we are all friend (AmigaOs4 users)...
... Seya im sorry can you gave me your liks with your quake time demo tests ...
Today Quake Clickboom 68k version in 640x480 software rendering geve me the result of 54fps on my Sam 460ex _________________ I love Amiga and new hope by AmigaNG A 500 + ; CDTV; CD32; PowerMac G5 Quad 8GB,SSD,SSHD,7800gtx,Radeon R5 230 2GB; MacBook Pro Retina I7 2.3ghz; #nomorea-eoninmyhome |

| Also from Sunday Night IRC chat 21 Jul 2013 .
[17:24:37] -Kelli217- eliyahu TrevorDick: glad to hear everyone in your family in NZ is safe. could you comment on the current state of the contracted W3D drivers? have the friedens already supplied you and/or other testers with initial builds already? [17:25:15] -TrevorDick- Thanks. We had hoped that we would have had a demo running at the Silicon Dreams show. [17:26:06] -TrevorDick- Of course this is not an official Hyperion development but a A-EON paid development with the developer. It has proved more difficult than first anticipated. [17:26:39] -TrevorDick- However, it has helped the Gallium development ..so I suppose that's a bonus for AmigaOS4.2. [17:27:04] -TrevorDick- Again, the devleoper works on this in his spare time when he is not on OS4 work.

How to put this diplomatically. It's like we're in a lifeboat and we're almost dead and the guy we rely on to row us to the shore is exhausted and he doesn't like us much and he thinks maybe he should just push us over the side. And instead of rowing to the shore he's rowing out to sea. _________________ X5000 / microA1(OS4.1 FE U2) / CodeBench / Imagine / Blender Lightwave 2019 / Microsoft Visual C++ |
