According to the posts to Patrick Wesseling's wall on Facebook by his wife, he was hit by a car and killed while jogging. He was known here as Coder, one of the site's moderators.

Rest in Peace Coder!

Your friend,

Sam

@Samurai_Crow

Approved the news item you submitted.
Thanks for forwarding the news, even though it was really bad news.

Can you forward the condoleances on behalf of Amigaworld net staff to his wife ?

I do not have an account on Facebook.

@tomazkid

Thanks. I'll try. I'm kind of new to the Facebook thing, myself.

I'm so sad to read this. I've had many an enjoyable chat with him. You tend to remember talking to a man with a bucket on his head.

Shine on you crazy diamond.

@thread

I think it's best to keep all our responses in one place to make it both easier to find and for Coder's wife to see.

Please use this news thread to leave your condolences.

As a community, we come together in grief to mourn but also in joy to celebrate the life Coder/Patrick shared with us. May his wife, family and loved ones feel our love and appreciation pouring out to him, even though it is also mixed with sadness and tears.

We miss you, Buckethead. xxx

@Yo

I stumbled across his blog today, it seems very sad that it remains there with no mention of his passing.
Does anyone have access to it to make a post about his death?
