They both ask me to insert "usr" in any drive but I don't fit ;). Good old make 3.76.1 gets right to compiling without any issues but it doesn't work with AWeb. Do the newer makes require an assign for usr? What are they looking for in usr (config files)? I didn't see any requirement in a quick glance of the docs but I may have missed it.

It is trying to access /usr/ which is translated to USR: on Amiga. It really needs nothing there but you should have it assigned properly because 3rd party files are installed there._________________ Amiga Developer Amiga 500, Efika, Mac Mini and PowerBook |

Thanks. I found my problem. I was using Make with vbcc where I don't have the "Assign USR: GG:". The assign does get made when using my setup script for GCC 3.4.0 (it executes GG-Startup) but it doesn't make much sense when using vbcc. I guess I could use the old Make with vbcc and the new Make with GCC. That is one of the reasons why I tried to keep the installs separate. They also sometimes interfere with each other. Vbcc and SAS/C are no problem but GCC needs 1/2 a Linux system.

I dont understand it. In MorphOS I always have GeekGadgets environment ready but I can use VBCC without these two interfering each other. I am using GeekGadgets tools (make, perl scripts etc) with VBCC. _________________ Amiga Developer Amiga 500, Efika, Mac Mini and PowerBook |

| Is this new AWeb something worth trying? Because before this update landed, all I heard was that it's an old, non-modern browser. Has that changed? Or do you guys have a different perception? I'd love to hear your opinions :) _________________ Proud user of AmigaOS 4.1 on an AmigaONE 500. It is obsolete. Its greatest drawback is lack of CSS support. Without it most of modern websites are useless.
It is lightweight and doesnt use much memory. It can be important if you have Amiga 1200. _________________ Amiga Developer Amiga 500, Efika, Mac Mini and PowerBook |
