[For AmigaKit] Radiance availability question

Hello,
Is Radiance package will be (really) soon available ?

I would like to try PPaint, Invent's backdrops, Candy, etc but I prefer to buy the whole package than the individual availables components.

Is the availability planned at the same time than 4.1 FE ?

Thank you, by advance, for your reply, I presume that few others OS4 users are waiting for the whole package to avoid to buy individuals components

Guillaume

@zzd10h

Same here - all ready to buy from the AmiStore but not until this compilation is released.

@-Sam-

I'm surprised it's taking this long.
Isn't all the software ready and just a case of packaging together?

Cheers

Seriously, this was announced at AmiWest 2014 25th October 2014 and still no update?

It is essentially software that is already created and yet nearly three months later it can't be packaged together and released?

If there is a problem, why not just say?

This really is not good customer service.

@TiredofLife

Well, it's not only Radiance itself. It's DvPlayer and MPlayer as well. Okay, I'm not saying about the Warp3D drivers, but the others should be available by now.

The Mplayer recently updated on OS4Depot (LiveForIt) is not the same of radiance package which is able to use RadeonHD 2.4 drivers, right?

I didn't notice improvement in playing movies with it, and I have new RadeonHD drivers installed on my system.

@Phantom

I can't see any mention of Warp3D on the press release?

@kyle

I thought it was?
LiveForIt is in the credits on the press release.

Try this guide to get the most out of it with the new driver.

@TiredofLife

I don't know, I supposed not, since on Amistore you'll have to buy it (when it'll be available) while on OS4Depot you can download it for free

Did you try playing something that couldn't play smoothly before? If so, what parameters are you using (or which video output driver is MPlayer-GUI set up to use, if you're using that).

You need AmigaOS4.1 Final, no speed up if you don't have the newest graphics.library.

What type of computer do you have?

@Hans & Nuts

I have OS4.1 Final Edition installed on my system (Sam 460ex with RadeonHD 6670 gfx and last RadeonHD drivers 2.4)

Maybe I don't set up correctly Mplayer-Guy video preference: I have set "compyuv" in video preference and "-vo cgx_wpa -cache-min 20 -autoq 100 -autosync 30" in the Extras preference.

Naturally I choose mplayer-none-altivec as path to mplayer.

Do I have to rename mplayer-non-altivec simply in mplayer?

@kyle

Wrong configuration. You have to remove "-vo cgx_wpa" from Extras since comp won't be used and the older (and way slower) cgx_wpa will be used instead.

@K-L

Ok, I removed it, now in Extras I have "-cache-min 20 -autoq 100 -autosync 30"
Do I have to flag "use cache" (8192)?

And what about sound preference? what's the better choice?

Can you suggest me a video to try in order to see how it play?

There is no "compyuv" there is a "comp_yuv" and "comp_yuv2".
Select default in MplayerGUI, and Mplayer should pick comp_yuv2 by default.

EDIT:
Just downloaded the latest MplayerGUI, to check the video modes, for any typos, I think its Reaction rendering bug , where comp_yuv becomes compyuv in the cycle gadget, as "_" symbol is normal used under hotkey letter in reaction GUI's.
