SimpleMail and Yahoo IMAP

| Hi all!
I've configured SimpleMail in IMAP mode since to look at my mails with AmigAOS and my phone togheter, but got some problems:
- marking mails as deleted from SimpleMail seems to do anything
- the way SimpleMail works on IMAP was obscure and weird...no "new mail" button to be pressed but the "P" button in bottom right
- it dont saves sent mails in Yahoo sent folder
- looking on remote folders was weird also
Any one can give me any hint? Maybe was me that do something wrong...
My phone client (AquaMail) works really perfect and without problem...

I have found the same as you describe when deleting emails and the sent mails.
Mine shows subdirectories, e.g. INBOX.TRASH, when I want to 'delete' something I move it there rather than use the delete button. It's a shame the delete button can't be configured to behave like this, or maybe I'm missing something and it can?
I think the IMAP support in SimpleMail is just 'incomplete' really, I put up with it as there isn't a better alternative and also primarily check emails on my phone or PC these days. Tend to use SimpleMail occassionally if I want to check something in a message or get an attachment on the Amiga, or email a file of course. |

I tried to use SimpleMail on MorphOS to read my yahoo mails but it is useless. Like another dev said... It is SimpleBrowse. _________________

| The problem was that SimpleMail works in IMAP in a weird way...
No "standard" buttons for manage mail works, only the "P" button to synchronize with the foolders...
I think was much easyer to use SimpleMail in IMAP like in POP...pressing the new mail button to update inbox, browsing in folders to look at in/sent/bulk mails...
Delete mails with "del" button and so on...
I dunno which techincal problems may encounter the SimpleMail team to update SimpleMail in a fully IMAP working way but at the moment, unfortunately, it was very little usable only to send mails and since the sent mails wasnt saved in Yahoo sent mails was a bit frustrating also...if I need to check a sent mail with AmigaOS I see it only on my local sent SimpleMail folder and its not as I expect from an IMAP account...
Hope to get some update from SimpleMail team if possible...also the guide dont explain anything about t use IMAP with SimpleMail... _________________
