I did try the other 1280x720 screen rez.. but for some reason it didn't fill the monitor.. it had a little black below and above and it felt just a wee bit squished.. so i'm sticking with the other 120x400.

It's a 16:10 monitor with max resolution 1920x1200? It looks very like a monitor I used a while back. If so is 1280x800 the right resolution, not sure if the Amiga can do that. I can remember I had a program a long time ago where i made my own screen modes, with a warning about I could destroy the monitor, but can't remember what program that was.

Edit: that was probably with cybergrapx i made custom screen modes.

If you drag NTSC from storage and into devs monitors you can use 320x200.

@227

Could you copy/paste relevant parts of installation readme (or send me these in PM)?

@pavlor

sorry about the slow reply, this is the readme install section.

------

Install:
1. Unpack the archive to a directory of your choice (did this)
2. open a shell and CD to that directory (did this)
3. type ´install´ (did this, but it says its not an executable file)
4. after installation, you can delete the directory with the
unpacked files. It won´t be needed any more.

The quickly-hacked-together-install script will then copy the
files to their proper homes:

- the Indivision config tool to the prefs directory
- the config data to ENV: and ENVARC:
- the cores to devs:Indivision

After that´s done, open the flashtool and choose "reflash all"
for the first time. This will isntall a (fairly) safe config that
will cast every supported screenmode to a Vesa mode with about 60Hz.
I have tested this on a cheap&piccy Dell monitor with a 1280x1024
panel.

yes that did the trick! AGA Mk2 tool installed. will have to experiment with it a bit though to figure out how to address it, but it's great to see it in prefs now.

Thanks!

Also I did a little more digging around. I'm pretty sure this is the monitor I own:

http://digichar.com/unt/8260-samsung...elevision.html

the resolution is 1360 x 768 pixels which seems consistent with the 720p resolution showing black bars above and below.

I've posted the question on the EAB board to get their thoughts too, but now as it stands I do have the AGA Mark2 card video tool installed and in preferences now so I can (cautiously) experiment to find the best look.
