| Since everyone around here is so helpful (meant honestly, not sarcasm!) I'm having some issues with setting up YAM... actually not setting it up, just every acount I try to send from I get a TLS connectin error from YAM. I'm starting to think it's not the best mail program to use.
And this time I got a timeout error.
I've tried no security, STARTTLS and SSL/TLS, all to no avail. Should I try SimpleMail? And for that matter, how do i uninstall programs? (too long a Windows user lol) _________________ You can get more done with a kind word and a 2x4 than you can with just a kind word |

Simple, Don't use SSL, The amiga got left behind in last years worldwide security panic that's lead to even sites like wikipedia requiring SSL.
You will probably have to use a different port number, 110 for pop3 and 587 for smtp. the info you need should be on your ISP's website.
To uninstall a program on the amiga just delete it's drawer, if it won't delete the drawer itself but it is empty there is probably an assign for the program in s:user-startup that will neeed removing. _________________ OS4 Rocks X1000 beta tester, Sam440 Flex (733)

I am also having the same problems trying to get YAM to log in and also get the connection error message.
I have checked all the port numbers as listed by my ISP and still no access.

I had that issue too recently but it seems to have been fixed/dissapered with the latest nightly build of YAM.
You can take a look over here and see that it's already reported:

I'm using yahoo by the way. |

Thanks, I downloaded 2.10-dev compiled on 13 Nov, and this works for receiving and sending after accepting the certificate warning messages. |

In that case it's probably easiest to phone your ISP tech support and find out if it can be done without SSL. _________________ OS4 Rocks X1000 beta tester, Sam440 Flex (733)
