| Hi all,
Anyone knows how to get Moonstone running on a stock Amiga 1200? The game freezes right before it's about to start (after the intro and credits).
I've tried running Relokick 1.4, but to no avail.
Also tried the degrading options in the early boot menu.
I only have a vanilla 1200, so can't do WHD-load.
Have tried several versions.
Hope someone can help me. :) Especially if you know about an AGA-fixed version.
Thanks in advance! _________________ Old School Game Blog Gaming on AmigaOS 4 Void - Amiga Demo Group |

Get a 030 and WHDLoad as life's too short to mess around. _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

Install WHDLoad and add tooltype ExpChip to the Moonstone WHDLoad icon. Performance may suffer and I´m not sure, if there is enough RAM for this (Moonstone requires 1+1 MB). |

That won't help, Moonstone is an OCS/ECS game from '91, it probably needs KS1.3 or KS2.x
@AmigaOldskooler
Try a different copy if you can get one.
For game reference and reseach always look HERE, moonstone is HERE. _________________ OS4 Rocks X1000 beta tester, Sam440 Flex (733)

I've got it working on an AGA machine through WHDLoad. Quite a nice curio but can't see why it gets the mega bucks on eBay. I much prefer Dune/Apidya for classic OCS/ECS kicks, oh yeah and I prefer the sword-play on The Secret of Monkey Island _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." Last version of the WHDLoad slave for this game requires only 512 kB of Chip RAM so there is some chance that on basic A1200 with WHDLoad it could work. There is also an option to disable PRELOAD tooltype. There might be some blackouts during gameplay (or rather during loading data) but the game may run. |

From the page I linked to:
TRIVIA: The game was banned in Germany because it was considered too violent for children. It is still banned in Germany today and consequently is considered a rare and collectible game there._________________ OS4 Rocks X1000 beta tester, Sam440 Flex (733)
