A1200 accelerator options

I am currently setting up an A1200 as a Workbench/Gaming machine. I need more RAM mostly for some games and to make Workbench use able.

As much as I would love the Apollo/Vampire, I kinda want to get going now. I don't want to pay a fortune for 'old' hardware (as in new accelerators based on the original CPUs). As such my main thought is the ACA-1221EC. Gives the Miggy a little speed boost and provides 8MB Fastram for the few games that need it. Plus it is the cheapest option at £105 from AmigaKit.

Anyone own one, what do you think about it? Any other (cheap) options out there?

@smartroad

I don't think the ACA 1221EC can be beaten on price unless you get really lucky. It will also suffer less depreciation than 030 based options when the Vampire 1200 arrives.

@smartroad

I don't own one just now, but I have. Very nice, stable board. You won't regret it.

Well gone for the 1221ec. All I really needed was the extra ram although the speed will help as well. Might do a review on it as I haven't seen any lol
