I did play Wing Commander on the Amiga but it went too quickly (on an A500 anyway); the PC version seemed timed better & thus playable. But on the PC Wing Commander was fabulous. |
The CD32 version was great when played on WHDLoad. 256 colours and good pacing, just as good as on the PC. If you've got a 030, AGA and some fastram then it's worth getting a copy.Last edited by BigD on 21-Aug-2017 at 12:58 PM.

| PR covered many of my Amiga favourites. I think strategy games are not represented though. Two of my favourites: Battle Isle and lasersquad. Non strategy: stunt car racer. Absolutely amazing.
Non Amiga favourite is Rebelstar on the ZX Spectrum. I still play that game fairly regularly, 30 years after after it was written. _________________ Blog |

Many said that could go on.. . Settlers, Civilization. Some strategy, well a lot. Likes too but as usually with children at our age takes too much time and being fast..
My thought is that some games work, well in work too as solving problems in Reality or so have they said. Big renovation things, "how did You do that?"
Also Amigahobby has been the English language keeper. Hopefully not the worst anymore.

Ummm... good post you now give me thinks two
You like The Settlers, that much I can make out. Good man!
Also, something about strategy games being good practise for solving problems in reality? Good call. I feel like all civil engineers, planners and politicians should HAVE to play SimCity 2000 as part of their training Last edited by BigD on 21-Aug-2017 at 05:24 PM. Simcity too offcourse. The more simple. Detroit also to add.
The leaders should have played our Games and not playing with us, old and some are...
Thinks nearly all the pc replicas or next versions are not so good.
Now We have a positive thread. Thank You!
