It's not the indivision it's the IDE interface that stops the fpu. As soon as I plug in the IDE interface I loose the fpu. Sorry for double post thought had not posted Last edited by g01df1sh on 26-Oct-2017 at 09:33 PM.

Try the CF by itself on the HD motherboard interface header (no multiple IDe adapter board). See if the FPU is recognized on boot.

It works fine with just hard drive no ide adapters. Tried that already but really would like to be able to use cdrom. _________________ A1200 ACA1232 128MB Indivison MkIICr Elbox empty Power Tower RPi3 Emulating C64 ZX Atari PS BBC Wii with Amiga emulation Vampire v4 SA |

Time for a new adapter. I use the one linked below from ebay... very nice especially for what you need.

Not sure what is going on. Trying another Amiga motherboard would help. Normally only PCMCIA expansion cards have issues with certain accelerator cards.

More testing reveals if using ide adapter cdrom drive needs to be connected for system to boot. However if 030 card is removed and no cdrom connected system will boot. Seems to me like the mk2 does just not like buffered ide interface. _________________ A1200 ACA1232 128MB Indivison MkIICr Elbox empty Power Tower RPi3 Emulating C64 ZX Atari PS BBC Wii with Amiga emulation Vampire v4 SA |

Strange Indeed. Are you using the AMIGA OS 3.9 Rom Update? It is in Devs: and is loaded by default with Setpatch. You can rename the Devs:AmigaOS ROM Update to " (AmigaOS ROM Update)", this will prevent it from loading. I am thinking that maybe the updated scsi.device is conflicting with the Blizzard MKII. Are you using IDEFix? I would try disabling any scsi.device type patches. There must be a reason for the FPU anomaly.
I would also try clocking the FPU separately (with a separate crystal and adjusting the jumper accordingly).

Don't think it's the os install as it will do the same if I boot from just workbench 3.1 system floppy disk. I have also thought about getting another crystal. Amigakit have some. You don't need another crystal, you should check the jumper setting, that's why I posted some parts of the manual and a link to a PDF with jumper settings. |

Using a dedicated oscillator for the FPU is part of the troubleshooting we are trying. Currently he is using the main Oscillator for the CPU via the jumper (Synchronous mode). The problem we are trying to sort out is the FPU disappears from the system when using the IDE header.

It's using the IDE buffered adapter that causes the issue if use just the header on the mother board it is ok and fpu is seen. I will order another crystal soon. _________________ A1200 ACA1232 128MB Indivison MkIICr Elbox empty Power Tower RPi3 Emulating C64 ZX Atari PS BBC Wii with Amiga emulation Vampire v4 SA |
