Excellent! That will be something to play on my AmigaOne when the summer holiday starts, then.

That is good news. It seems as lately we've been hearing alot of new "OS4 Port" announcements. I'm getting anxious to get mine now. This is where it all starts.

We'll likely look back on these days, laughing, and say "remember when we all got so excited over "XYZ" being ported to OS4?

Does anyone know where to get the data/ and gm/ files from? I just wasted a whole night downloading tons of archives and it's still complaining about missing files.

The ones i have now are:
data/
sample.cat trg1r.grf
trgcr.grf trghr.grf
trgir.grf trgtr.grf

gm/
gm_tt00.gm gm_tt01.gm
gm_tt02.gm gm_tt03.gm
gm_tt04.gm gm_tt05.gm
gm_tt06.gm gm_tt07.gm
gm_tt08.gm gm_tt09.gm
gm_tt10.gm gm_tt11.gm
gm_tt12.gm gm_tt13.gm
gm_tt14.gm gm_tt15.gm
gm_tt16.gm gm_tt17.gm
gm_tt18.gm gm_tt19.gm
gm_tt20.gm gm_tt21.gm

Now i'm getting Error: Cannot open file 'data/signalsw.grf'

Anyone have all the files?

Don't bother Curtis. The archive says it needs some files but dosent tell you what other files are missing. In short, it dosent work. :/
I spent too much time downloading archives to get the files it needs and still can't find everything to run it. Whats so hard about including all neceessary files in an archive or at least providing a complete list to get this POS working? If the OS4 version is just as bad we're all screwed.

Save yourself the stress.

it does... it clearly states (in the readme.txt file) that it requires the Window$ version of Transport Tycoon Deluxe

unless you can borrow it from someone...

it's free in the same vein as FreeSpace2, Quake2, Quake1, ScummVM etc.
it's just the engine that is free(ish).

Abuse is (I think) now completely free (they don't use the commercial gfx anymore), Mig Alley and Battle of Britain are also completely free (if you can decompress the source that is)

Your right it does but, it's not a complete list. I'll quote the readme.txt:

4.0) Running OpenTTD:
---- ----------------

Before you run OpenTTD, you need to put the game's datafiles into the data/
subdirectory. You need the following files from the original Windows version
of TTD as OpenTTD makes use of the original TTD artwork.

IMPORTANT! You need the files from the WINDOWS version of TTD.

List of the required files:
sample.cat
trg1r.grf
trgcr.grf
trghr.grf
trgir.grf
trgtr.grf

If you want music you need to copy the gm/ folder from Windows TTD.

I fetched those files from an abandonware site (even had to rename the
files from the first archive i tried) and found it was still looking
for more files. That's why im asking that someone include a file listing
what the port requires. Even better would be to include the files in the
archive. It's abandonware so that shouldn't be a problem. Even if you
don't want to include them directly, you could give a link to a file
that that has the needed files. It should list system requirements too.
I'm guessing you need a gfx card from looking at the screenshots but
will it need an 020, 040, 000, P96, CGX, something else?? Just a short
amiga.readme.txt will do alot to help ppl like me who don't own an
origional copy. (and don't intend to by windows sw for their amigas)

Anyway, i was kinda rude in my last post. Wasen't my best day yesterday. :/

I've these files in my data directory:

canalsw.grf
openttd.grf
opntitle.dat
sample.cat
signalsw.grf
trg1r.grf
trgcr.grf
trghr.grf
trgir.grf
trgtr.grf

I dont know minimum requirements for Amiga SDL but CGX is absolutely needed. AHI is optional if you want sound effects.

Dunno for CPU but fast is better.
