The original news posting is as follows:

Thanks to the continued support of Elwood with his excellent articles I have now created a new section in IntuitionBase called, you guessed it Articles. Here you will eventually find a collection of articles relating to OS4.x and the AmigaOne. The articles can be written by anyone, all you have to do is get in touch with me.

For starters we have another excellent article by Elwood entitled "AmigaOS 4, Pre-release is finally out!", it is a good read and I hope you all enjoy reading it as I have.

Also the compatible hardware section has had an extra feature added and a load of other small bugs have been fixed throughout the site.

Still a lot more to come

Thanks for all your support from all of us at IntuitionBase.com

For whatever reason MikeB decided to butcher it up and put his name to the posting.

Very interesting and informative. I like the figures and I like the fact that it is aimed towards ex-Amigans as well as existing ones.

When you run a 68k program, it will directly utilise the PPC components of the system. So they will run faster than on a Classic Amiga. My G4 seems to run 68k applications almost 3 times faster than my Classic with 68060!

Never really occured to me that 68K programs would be using PPC "ROM" routines but it seems obvious now.

Common Ryu. Why don't you choose a less inflamatory word like "edit" instead of "butcher"?

@ Elwood

Nice review mate. Never had any idea of the magnitude of the number of developers surrounding OS4 (i.e. OS4 on its own and not inclusive of Linux or the A1 Board itself). These are truly excting times!

Now I wonder when Total Amiga Magazine will be coming out...

@ Ryu

If you want the article posted under your name, the simple thing to do is submit it. Something must have gone wrong on your part as yesterday and today there are still no waiting "news submissions" written by you. (Forgot to hit the submit button or something?)

However I find your wording and assumptions here quite annoying and IMO this doesn't seem to reflect the constructive attitude of the IntuitionBase team as a whole...

Before posting the news item, I did notice you were logged in for a while and so I waited to see if you submitted anything. Half an hour later I looked again and still nothing (this morning still nothing, although it may be possible another editor removed your submission afterwards, if you submitted the news after it already got published)...

Can I add to this, it is pretty usual practise for sites to edit news items that are submitted for content, structure and spelling. They also check the content has relevance to the site and tweak it if needs be while trying to retain the meaning.

Most of the time this isn't needed, desired or whatever. When a site person goes out looking for news its really up to them how they presented.

Absolutely no need to be angry about it Ryu, we all want IntuitionBase to succeed, although Im sure my ANN stalker doesn't.

I love and have always loved the amiga comptuer.
ever since I first heard of it (way before I got my first one in 93).

I have however sold of all of my amigas, except my old a500 (now using Win UAE).

I love what Hyperion have done, I have bought several of their games and played them on my A4k PPC, before I sold it.

Anyway, I can't wait til AOS4.0 final release, I so much want a new Amiga with a new and modern OS :)

But one thing that concerns me though is, can I play Wipeout 2097 PPC/Warp3D on the new amiga ??

Please... ME WANT...

You got a stalker? I have a dog that follows me around all day. Does that count as a stalker too? But I think the dog just wants to see what stupid people do all day long.

Are you sure? Kevin would fall in love with Dave and wants to be his boyfriend. Conflict of interest. I have seen Kevin like that with Whity. Oh I mean Whitney. Whity is that stuff she uses.

Well, as long as Dave doesn't start belting out any ballards, I think he will be safe .

Lol, I had the picture of a mallard and a ball, then I realised you meant ballad.

Classic Amiga community sense of humour, can't beat it!

Dave.

I am 100% posative I pressed submit last night. All I can say in my defence is I had been working hard on the site for hours and just as I came to post the news items I suffered yet another DoS attack so perhaps it got lost during that hastle...

@MikeB, sorry to of offended you, but rest assured in future if there is a significant IntuitionBase update I will submit it here aswell as everywhere else .

I guess I chose butchered because thats just my style of language, and I tend to write as I speak and visa versa, including spelling mistakes and pronunciation errors

OK, no hard feelings, keep on doing a good job with IntuitionBase.

I tested the AW news submission form and everything seems to function properly.
