The MPlayer GUI really makes things a lot more convenient. Kudos for that!

Have you managed to sort out every single key (and then some ) with Allkeys now, btw? I recall that there was some talk in a thread a while back that you were unable to identify all the keys, if I'm not mistaken..

Perhaps it's getting time to invest in a better keyboard then, after all.

I think I'm tempted to give multiren a try sometime this weekend as well, seems like a nifty little app.

Does it work on any keyboard?
I have bought a Loogitech OEM wireless one and it has 105 standard keys
and alot of multimedia keys.
I have always thought I'd have them only for show

Thanks Deniil715, I'm using Mplayer-GUI and AllKeys on OS4 now.

I have a Genius PS2 multimedia keyboard and Allkeys does allow the Play, Pause, Forward and Back keys to be used with AmigaAmp. However, none of the other keys are recognised:

Media, Word, Excel, Mute, +, -, E-mail, Stop, Refresh, WWW, Back, Forward, Search, Favourites, Sleep, Calculator, MyComputer ...

Why is it that AllKeys can detect the keys Media play, pause etc, but not the other keys?

AllKeys can recognize any key that is send through the input.device. This means that it can recognize all keys that are converted from scan-codes (raw keyboard codes sent through the cable) to Amiga-rawkeys by keyboard.device.

The support for MM-keys in keyboard.device in current OS4 is experimental. That is why they (Hyperion) have only implemented the four most common.

But you can use all other keys, like Home/End/PageUp/PageDown/Menu/PrintScreen etc etc + all normal Amiga-keys like Shift/Ctrl/Alt/Win/Amiga-keys/letters/numbers/Tab/Esc/F-keys etc etc. Combinations with qualifiers also work, such as for example Shift+P, Ctrl+Alt+Insert etc etc.

A nice feature is that you can block (eat) the keys you have defined so they do not effect a screenblanker! Therefore you can configure Play to start AmigaAmp playing without waking up the screen.
