@mlehto & hnl_dk

Thanks!

Unfortunately it doesn't work correctly with stereo IMA ADPCM files (just noticed) so I'll have to go check the compression docs again... Will try to fix it ASAP.

OK, I've uploaded a new fixed version to a500.org now (0.2). It should also soon appear on OS4Depot as well.

I`ve just tried the wav datatype and using both files does not work here.
If i use the wav.datatype 14-Jan-05 9972 it works but not with the one supplied.

Using both datatypes (mine and Kev Sherratt's) will probably not work as expected. You might try changing the name on either one's descriptor file (the one in DEVS:DataTypes/) but that might possibly not work out so well either, in which case you will have to choose which one of them to use and uninstall the other one.

This is what i ment.

1 Original devs/datatype/wave + classes/datatype/wav.datatype = works.

2 Your version devs/datatype/wave + classes/datatype/wave.datatype =fails -complains of unknown filetype.

3 I substitute classes/datatype/wave.datatype back to Original wav.datatype =works.

Does this help.

Sorry if you understood already.

That's weird ...

Have you rebooted after installing the files?

Could you run this program on one of the files and send the output to me? If you could send the sound file itself, even better.

@cap

Also, in case this could be some kind of priority issue you could consider temporarily moving all other datatypes' descriptors from DEVS:DataTypes to another directory so as not to be found by the AddDataTypes command on startup (I doubt it however, but it might still be worth a try at least).
