Events   Events : Amiga and Pegasos User Group meeting in San Diego!
   posted by realize on 27-Jun-2006 18:10:52 (3639 reads)
Hello fellow Amigans and PPC Users!

We are having a Pegasos User Group meeting this Saturday in San Diego california. We urge all Pegasos users in the West Coast to attend as we will be geeking out with multiple Pegasos boxes running Morphos, Linux, Mac OSX and more!

There will be fun demonstrations and tutorials on various aspects of the Pegasos and should be a really good time for all. The event is hosted by Acill and Magnetic of magnetic systems. If you are in the California area this is your chance to see the Pegasos and the Power of Morphos in action by friendly knowledgable people. See through the hype!

Non Pegasos and Amiga 1 owners are welcome to attend and do a demo as well. We would really love to have some Classic Amigans and OS4 guys there to contribute and have fun! This is a universal event and you dont even need to have one of these machines to attend. Hope to see you there. The address is:

1957 Mount Bullion
Chula Vista, Ca. 91913

Pm Acill or myself for more info please. There are 3 people signed up already!

I found it kind of funky how this news item differs ever so slightly from the one you posted at MorphZone. You stealthy marketing guy you. Seriously though, best of luck with your event.

P.S. Enjoy Canada Day (July 1st) because I know we will.

Well, I might have come and would have brought my A1s. But I don't know. Have a pool party on saturday. Late anouncement.

Know any cheap hotels for 1 or two days ? My wife would prefer a (long) weekend at the beach anyway ... but then I could combine that somewhat

Any interesst that I should go ? Or you want to see OS4 on the A1 ?

@Jorge

See, that's what makes event's like this so much fun. I've had people show up to our user group meetings before (that I didn't know) and bring along some of their Amiga stuff. It's all good at that point, and you'll definitely have a good time.

Man... that makes me want to have another Carolina Amiga's Group Cookout again. It's been a year, and long over due.

@ssolie

Maybe the "A" word is taboo on MZ.

BTW: Turns out I am so broke I won't make it to San Diego, this weekend. Well, if there's someone coming from Phoenix, and has a free spot I could just hop in an bring my A1(s). Anyone ?

I strongly hope that the war is ended definitively.

The "war" thing is stupid anyway and should even be something we all need to deal with. Pegasos/A1 users are all "Amiga" users as far as I see it, and we need to work together to keep our platforms alive.

If any of you in the area can make it pleas come, if you dont have a system and just want to see them in action, please come. It will be a great time.

I will be picking up some ribs, chicken and some brats. I have tables set up and two desks for systems, I have 1 extra crt monior if you dont want to drag yours out.

Its a nice TV, I have an HDMI to DVI adapter I use with my Macs and the Pegasos all the time on it. Its a lot of fun having a 42" monitor playing classic games with too!

I think I am the only Amigan in central/southern Mississippi. I got rid of most of my hardware a few years ago, but I ran across some cool bits from our storage building yesterday.
