hardware OS4   hardware OS4 : Sputnik bounty reached the half way mark.
   posted by Troels on 27-Feb-2007 0:33:40 (5849 reads)
Just two weeks have gone by since the Sputnik webbrowser bounty was made public here on AmigaWorld.net Today we passed the half way mark as we have now collected 1,535.65 EUR for the Sputnik port.

Read more

I know there's still a long way to go but I want to thank the people who already contributed and ask people who haven't to reconsider and do it.
There have been some people who didn't like that their money would be spread to other OS4 projects if we didn't reach the 3050 EUR needed. For them I have changed the terms on the website and will now return the money (minus paypal fees) upon request, should we not reach the needed amount.

We need more donations, so please visit www.amigabounty.net

I'll be making another donation also sometime near the end of March. Wish I could every payday.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

LaBodilsen : The MOS Bounty is not uptodate since... one year, maybe two...

Hope this will be the case soon.

Good stuff. I already donated, will again if I can in the future.

I was wondering if word of this has been sent to Bill M. as a spot of good news for support on the platform? I think anything we are working together as a community to achieve for his platform is worth sending news to him on if not done already. :)

Who knows, maybe they can even kick in a few bucks if we get lucky!

That would be a very good investment in the platform as lack of a modern browser is one of the big complaints that people have.

@fairlainefastback

I have mailed Bill about this bounty as I did to all other relevant companies, so far only a few have answered and Amiga Inc haven't replied yet.... I don't expect donations from companies but I do expect an answer!

Anyway 1/2 way already is quite good, keep it up.

Wow, a guy plunked on 130 euro in one hit! it all counts, but the heavy hitters are REALLY doing the job for us. :)

@JAHC

Sorry to disappoint you but it is not 130 EUR, but 130 SEK (around 14 EUR afaik).

But yesterday was a good day for the bounty nevertheless
