Software News   Software News : FPSE - Free PlayStation Emulator
   posted by AmiDog on 14-Mar-2008 19:01:05 (4605 reads)
This, the second maintenance release of 0.10 contains a few minor fixes and adds new ports for MorphOS and AROS (x86).

While the MorphOS port should be pretty well behaved, the AROS one still has some issues.

I'm looking for one or two betatesters for the AROS (x86) port. If you are an experienced AROS user, have some time to spare and some 10-20 PS1 games for testing, send a mail to fpse {dot} emu [at] amidog {dot} se.

The latest OS4 version appears with a "Nothing to configure yet." plugin settings requester... How is it supposed to be configured the CDROM unit # and device?

@Cass

You probably forgot to select the cdrom.dll plugin first. The cdnull.dll one has nothing to configure.

I feel like a dork!
I`ve read the documentation mentioning the null files, but with a glimpse and the plugins all set xxxnul.dll as default, I must admit that I missed the most important detail! Sorry for the trouble

Btw, "Destruction Derby 2" wich was marked as non functioning, is OK on OS4 classic (not really playable, but it works !)

Cass: as you can see from the Database, the version OF FPSE was an much older one compared to the one youre using right now.

besides, as you can also see is that the game used to work in FPSE (if you see the comment) so its not suprising to see it working again now.

wish i had the time to focus on the DB again but i havent and well it more or less could have been called "ToAks's FPSE DB" since no one else bothered to support it....except like 10-15 others who did as much as they could (much appriciated btw).

one day i will focus on it again but for now the db stays as it is but anyone can add or update the entries.
