Hyperion Entertainment is very pleased to announce that Amiga OS 4.1 has gone "gold" and should be available through dealers mid August. Building on the solid foundations of Amiga OS 4.0, Amiga OS 4.1 introduces a wealth of substantial new functionality which is a prerequisite for the deployment of industry standard applications on the Amiga platform.

I like the new screenshots a lot more than the old os4.1 shots. the gadget are much better positioned now.

also noticed on amidock: no more Owb link, and what is AmiDVD?. some kind of multi write dvd program, to treat a dvd like a large floppy disk?

all in all, looks very good.

Do any of the new capabilities in OS 4.1 make it any easier to write some sort of realtime screen-capture utility? (Cairo, compositing engine, ... ?)

Anyone knows how i should buy this new OS. From Acube or is there a swedish seller somewhere hidden in dark and has fast delivery ? Maybe too early to ask.
