Miscellaneous News   Miscellaneous News : CBM Engineers' interview on-line!
posted by RobertB on 15-Aug-2008 2:41:13 (3451 reads)
CBM engineer Bill Herd suggested the idea of a video conference at this year's CommVEx, instead of the usual pre-recorded, yearly CBM Animals video. He had rounded up Andy Finkel, CBM engineer who worked on the VIC-20, C64, and Amiga, as the focus of this conference.

Due to hardware issues, the video interview became a telephone interview. That 1 hour, 40 minute telephone interview is now on-line! It is broken up into 4 parts of about 6-8 megs each (22-30 minutes for each part).

Go to http://bios.tx0.org/ in order to download the .mp3's. On the interview you will hear Bil, Andy, Robert Bernardo, Cameron Kaiser, and Keith Henrickson.

If that site has exceeded its bandwidth, the files are also hosted temporarily at an alternate location. Go to

Thanks Robert!

If I will plan a visit to Las Vegas it will be the same time as a future CommVex!

That would be great! Our farthest visitor to visit us this year was Michael B. of Cloanto in Italy.

Next year CommVEx v5 will be the last weekend of July again.

Great listening. The CBM engineers were such a cool bunch of guys! I am so envious of the work environment and trust they had to make decisions as junior guys! The stuff they achieved despite the middle managers of the Amiga days is amazing
