PS. When this product is complete it will be shareware and a fee will be required for a license.

PPS. We have already got a sponsor for the OS4 version, I will name soon, which will appear soon after beta testing the Aros version. If MorphOS version is wanted then a sponsor is needed.

Thank you for your continuing positive contribution to the Amiga cause, thanks for sharing these original applications to benefit platforms besides AROS

Is this that will happen in April 2011?

Awesome, Steve. I'm downloading now. I'm really glad to hear an AOS version is in the pipeline as well.

@Phantom

No

Please remember due to Mencoder limitations we are not frame accurate but on one second boundaries except on animations.

Interesting about animations. What kind of animation formats would be frame accurate with this software? Truthfully, it will be impossible to tear me away from Final Cut for my most serious video editing, but I love using my Amiga (and Amiga-like) stuff for anything useful or fun. Putting together animation clips might be just the ticket for me.

@mbrantley

This is not meant to drag people away from Final Cut

However, it is a start on the road to Aros having video editing.

Basically the animation works by adding a folder full of images as a video clip and allowing audio to be overlaid and rendered as a video.

Hehe. :) Yeah, realize that. But I look for any good excuse to use an Amiga solution even when it's not the best solution. I suspect many will use this new tool to good effect making videos for YouTube. I am more than intrigued with the prospect of combing animation clips and sound without having to leave an Amiga environment to get the job done.

I'll be testing the beta and no doubt will register the finished version.

Very cool, Looks like its could quite easily do the job, editing the short video clips I sometimes make using my digital camera.

Thanks for helping to make this one of the most interesting times in Amiga development since Comodore went bust.

Between the fun I am having with my minimig (the best way to play old games and yes I do still own an A1200 and an A500 but don't use them much any longer), AROS which finally feels like a usable amiga system in resent months and OS4 running on my sam440 I am very happy with current developments in amiga land.

MorphOS is also looking real good and I would move to have some hardware to give a current version a go.

I just wish other Amiga users would wake up and realise just who well things are going and stop moaning/arguing about which modern Amiga solution is best. They all have their limitations and are all improving on an own going bases that's to all the hard work that the developers and other members of the community are putting in all the time to keep things moving forward.

So thanks again for all the hard work and I will look forward to giving your new Video editing tool a go on my netbook under AROS when its released.

Now back to playing my new second hand copy of RailRoad Tycoon I purchased off I ebay £3.50 that just arrived the other day which was able to install on my minimig after I imaged the disks with my Catweasel mk4 (the floppy drive seems to be a bit dodgy on my A1200) and thanks to all the hard work put in by everyone I can still install and play without needing to download a cracked adf from some were.

Well said, Dwyloc. Lots of exciting things going on in Amigaland, and this much-needed application is one of them.
