Software News   Software News : HueFlow game released
   posted by mrdarek on 11-Dec-2011 21:18:16 (4334 reads)
My 3-th software written in PortablE language is colourful game HueFlow for all. It's Amiga version top rated phone game. Aros version also will be released soon.

In this puzzle game your goal is to fill the board with a single color. Select a new color using buttons or number keys and all the cells adjacent to the selected color will be added to your flood area. Start in the top-left and work your way through the board.

game is donationware, little restricted but as donationware version every time is finishable. If you like this game please donate it (1 euro), you get remove limitations key and I will be motivated to improve this game.

Game is on os4depot. Have fun with my new game!

Cool, nice little game!.

btw, you should add a download link in this newsitem.

You should implement AmiBoing's gamer card/acchivement system into your little game , a wonderfull "just one more go" system.

OK, achievement system is nice idea, it should be more fun then calculate recommended moves and lose/win system if your steps is over/under that moves. I do it in next version. In current version you can only compete with yourself...

@mrdarek

i don't know if amiboing's system code is up for anyone but i think that would be the best idea anyway (everyone use same system with same server for syncronizing achivements).

cheers

I think rather about simple achievement system. E.g. Win game mode in xx steps or secret achievements (not displayed goal...) e.g. finish any game mode in 5 seconds - this will be too easy if user will know goal, so goal is secret. For winning any achievements user getting prize for example nice picture with boingball and title e.g. "master boing juggler".
Build game server is advanced task, not for my skill.

looks simple but quite advanced to coding, in particulary resizable engine. Now I will try hexagonal playfield - it more challenge... - it can take some time to do..., I also see that my unregistered restriction is not fun, I promise reduce restriction in next version to achieve balance between giving users fun and give for self some money for beer..., sorry for that - I really want that the Amiga will be best computer - only good software can do it...
