Announcement   Announcement : AmiBench - It's Here! Again!
posted by BinoX on 1-Jul-2012 22:00:33 (2647 reads)
AmiBench is back!

After a long period of hibernation, the original Amiga marketplace is back online.

We've got a new developer on board, so expect a lot of new features over the coming months, as well as an updated look for modern browsers.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Awww! That's put a smile on my face seeing the Amibench logo again.

Is Mark actively involved?
I do hope the format won't change too much - the simplicity of the site was a good feature imho.

Yeah, Mark is still involved. I've been in regular contact with him throughout the revival process. We both agreed that getting the site back up in it's original form was a good place to start.

From here we're going to implement a lot of the ideas that Mark was going to add originally and a few of my own. But keeping the simplicity of the site is a high priority, as is compatibility with real amiga browsers.

Well, I've fixed some of the markup errors now... I'm at work though, so I'll get to the rest of them later on.

Hurray! This is excellent news. AmiBench was the first Amiga website I used.

Congratulations to all concerned.

Yay! AmiBench is back online. Used to be one of those sites I'd check every single day way back, glad to see it back online and looking just as it did before.

Please don't update it too much, as someone else has already said, it's simplicity was half of it's charm!
