| I won't be at the meeting, but i'm interested to know if the versions of AbiWord, Gimp and Andacious are OS4 native or is it through AmiCygnix.

| This is running over Amicygnix. With the built-in WB driver , it runs over a WB screen . You don^t feel any differences |

| You certainly see the difference between an X11-environment and a native application and that most certainly affect the feeling in general as well... |

| @Develin
You see not really differences and feel the X11 server. It is like the other 08/15 WB programms. |

| Surprisingly, running AmiCygnix programs (like AbiWord) within a window on Workbench feels much nicer than running them within an 'alien' desktop on another screen.
It also means that AmiCygnix's desktop manager does not need to 'boot', and this reduces the start-up time for programs.
I already did this with the existing versions of AbiWord/etc, thanks to some tips about how to do it. |
