   posted by logicalheart on 22-Oct-2013 1:02:26 (4433 reads)
I'm starting a new E-bay account in my company name, so this is your opportunity for a deal.
My first auction is for a new Sam440 Flex motherboard shipped from ACube Systems. The listing is in United States dollars, but is open to any bidders within ACube's supported shipping destinations.

The auction includes:
Sam 440ep 733 Mhz Flex motherboard
512 MB RAM module
Amiga OS 4.1

The auction link is here:

They are in Italy.

@amitv
News = "newly received or noteworthy information"
Do you realize nobody has done this before?

Why can't this item be shipped within Europe since it's seems to be delivered from Italy?

Forgive me, but I'm not 100% sure what's going on here. Are you buying a brand new board from Acube which you then partially recover the cost of by auctioning it? It's a very noble gesture if that's the case, and might result in a new OS4 user...

Looks like the auction is off now. oh well...

Ebay page = "This listing (281192834372) has been removed, or this item is not available.

•Please check that you've entered the correct item number
•Listings that have ended 90 or more days ago will not be available for viewing."

Wow! Should I hate E-bay now? They completely removed the listing because of an unspecified "concern". I had to go through a security procedure, then had to recreate the listing again from scratch. How horrible!

I'm sorry to everyone who placed bids. Here is the new link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=281193916640

I will see if there is a moderator who can correct the news item.

@Develin
Who said it can't be shipped within Europe?

@Daedalus
That's correct. Giving something away for free to someone who isn't willing to pay anything for it, means they don't value it, so I'm doing it auction style to find people who really have a desire to get into the current OS4 market.

...
Ebay took down my listing again for the same reason as before. An undefined "concern". I called them and they said they were sorry and would restore it in 24 hours. Having this happen twice now, instead of me continuing to apologize to everyone for them, I think the only solution is to close my accounts with them and use another site instead.

I'm sorry everyone, I've not had trouble with them before and never knew they could be so incompetent.

I've posted the Auction on Ebid.
There is plenty of time to bid, so I advise waiting 24 hours before bidding in case Ebid doesn't like PowerPC Amigas.....

Excellent, that's a wonderful thing you're doing! Now, if only eBay weren't such schmucks! Fingers crossed you get it to work with the others!
