| This is a welcome sight! I thought that OMSS was in limbo ever since the OS 4 version was put on hold?

| OSS was not being updated for OS4 specifically, it was just being updated to bring new features to the existing program. Originally these were being made by Kato Developments, but after several years, they had not achieved very much publically, and Ray pulled the plug on them. Sadly any changes made to the source by Kato developments were kept by them, so when Ray handed the source to the next developer, it was going to be back to the drawing boards as the new developer would have to start over again.
I am sure this small update is just one of many to be made, and I like many others, look forward to any additions that can be made to the great OSS program.

Then you have not got OMSS 
You have got Octamed though, whose current version was 6. OctaMed SoundStudio is v1.03c - freely availbe on OctaMed Website. This latest update takes it to v1.03d, but it is only a minor update fixing some bugs. I found it used more CPU time when playing s3m over previous versions, but I am sure that will change in the future.
