I disagree. You also brought a history of debating those same questions on outside forums. You brought a history of Genesi support via your purchase of their product and a dash of evangelism. You brought a history of working with Phoenix and all that is associated with that organization. You brought a history of spirited curiosity in everything related to the infamous court case. (These are just some examples off the top of my head by the way--no offense intended.)

My point is that you cannot simply disassociate your history and reputation from your questions by saying it is so. Thus my crude Fox Mulder dig early on (sorry all, couldn't resist).

Think of it as a compliment! When you ask a question you get a strong reaction because your reputation and online personality is so strong. Just don't pretend they are "only questions" to everyone else because that is impossible unless the source is somehow anonymous.

P.S. Does this mean you are not allowed to ask those questions? In a weird way it does to some extent. C'est la vie.

Maybe they were difficult questions, or uncomfortable ones, or even inappropriate ones as some have said, but that's all they were: questions offered with the goal of receiving answers to clarify the situation. I hope you don't find that too threatening.

Nice. Now here's the second tactic, make people look unreasonable for disagreeing with your questions. They weren't difficult questions, most were statements disguised as questions, peppered with inaccuracy and false negativity. That's why I have a problem with them, that's why others have a problem with them. It's a shame, because you did actually have a couple of decent questions in there.

Perhaps for added effect you could delete your account again so that the usual crowd on ANN can once again use the way "AmigaIncFleecyLoverWorld" members drove away the ever innocent, ever reasonable gary_c as a proof of how blind and ignorant they are.

Seriously Gary, you are an intelligent guy, one of the best debators in the community, able to make some really good points and fuel some cracking, interesting discussions. But recently, you seem to favour the sly FUD method instead of intelligent, interesting conversation.
