Ok.. after this news months ago about the beta boards being produced, we havent heard one word of it. After what was it 2 years ago all the "what is X" hype? Why no news, its bordering on ridiculous. Especially now that the Sam boards are really coming along and filling market need for a high end amiga os4 box, will "X1000" ever be released?

While I would have worded my inquiry a little differently, I too am curious if the beta boards have reached the beta-testers yet?

I wanted to ask the same thing, but I know what happens. I'm glad somebody else did. On April 10, a photo was posted of early testing. After that, nothing. I'll go over to Moobunny. Sometimes they know things and they're not worried by NDA's.

You know its quite sad many regular amigans have lost their voices for fear of the rabid fanboys and possibly angering the few remaining companies or developers. Its weird as amiga ppl in general have been a tough crowd to please :)

I get the label as "troll" or a "bad guy" when I ask questions like this.. the title was meant to be controversial, but in a funny way.

Moo has no one to tell you the truth, only stories about how the x1000 will fail, or never come out, or that Trevor has run off with all the beta money. They know zip about whats going on, Varisys is testing & things are looking good.

If you put a lot of money into a new board, like the x1000, & knowing how the A1 turned out, how long would you want the the board to be tested? So many things to verify the right way, so how long before you put your name on it?

Although what you say sounds rational and like common sense, if I had put my money on the line and signed up for the beta crew I would be kinda really stressed out by now probably would have asked for my cash back and bought Sam 460.

Doesn't hurt any company to actually exercise public relations skills and keep the potential market informed does it?

well as you can see from samo's post you get crucified for pointing out obvious bad business tactics and extended missing deliverable dates. but thats SOP for some ppl it seems.. the silence is just what kills it. I am honestly starting have my doubts as well..
If they dont get them out soon they will be as outdated as current offerings was when they came out.

Those who have put up money to be part of this development are not being kept in the dark. They are all kept well aware of the progress.

Those who did not or could not be part of the development will just have to wait until the next public announcement is made.
